saddened she told me help me
build my town, tonight you gotta stay
they killed my parents with a smile
And when the hours are passin' by
I see the tears burnin' in her eyes
the night becomes so dark
and there is nothing left to say
they say, nothing is wrong
you just gotta be strong
then you will survive
chosen or not
this is life
she tells me her story about the river
and when I think about my body begins
to shiver, how life slipped away
she was seven and talked like a big girl
