A Feminist's Perspective on Life

Sometimes I wish I had a job where I didn't have to talk to anyone else.
People give me such a headache at times.

Just watched the previews for the next episode of the Office. Man, there are days where I feel like blowing up like that.
Urgh, I'm SO TIRED. I'm pretty close to snapping at someone.
We Americans work too hard. We work like dogs. Its expected that you make career your priority, and if you're not careful, it can swallow you up pretty quickly...
I'm trying to set some boundaries for myself and take out substantial time for ME. I mean, forget family...

Today reminded me how lucky I am. How lucky I am not to be on the streets and on disability.
It is sick guys - I don't think a lot of people know or realize it. One injury on the job, and that's it - it can make you bankrupt - it can make you homeless - it can make you jobless. Its terrible.
I don't understand why we do that to people. Why do we, as a nation, have this tendency to put people on disability, thereby removing potential to have a job, and plunging them...

God has a sense of humor. Otherwise, my life would not be draining every inch of mental energy out of me as it does every day. Drainage which I only cause by my own stupidity.
Seriously guys. I have to warn you. Doing the right thing - sometimes just comes and bites you in the back. People don't appreciate it. You know what? Its not even worth doing the right things anymore. I mean, where has it gotten me, really? I fare better when I'm breaking rules.

So what did you guys do for halloween? I actually went another year without dressing up, and instead sat at home waiting for little kids to come by so I could give them candy. I managed to see a total of 5 cute cuddly little kids.
What happened to trick-o-treating? People are keeping their kids at home or what? Too scared to send them out? We used to have the doorbell ringing nonstop when I was a kid, so what happened?
Just another one of those "Well...

After reading TLK and X2's spoofs of girly blog entries...I'm writing with some caution - no need to sound like them. I was so going to write about the rip-off jewelry sale at Arden B, but I think X2's b*tching about his Kenneth Cole boots far outdoes my ranting.
Hey did I tell you I have the coolest job ever at the coolest location? Yep, I'm right on the beach. Stone's throw away from the water. And do I walk out to the shore on my lunch break? Hell ya b*yatches. Take that,...

As I sit here and read, shielded from the cold by a warm home, I am recalled to the fact that so much has changed. Change brings with it new decisions to be made, and I have a list. Again I find myself with such a variety of options and I can't choose. What if we could actually do everything we wanted to do? That would involve the 24 hour day to become a 50 hour day. Maybe then, I could have time to take some breaks without being punished for them later. Maybe then I could have it all - family,...

I went on my facebook profile today. There are like 1-2 people that consistently write on it.
Its embarrassing. I should close the account.
I ... eh, I beat myself up way too much. I need a good novel to read, to avoid reality for a while. Any good ideas on some suspense-ridden fiction?
By the way, I am looking forward to one thing. Little Dorritt on BBC 1 looks to be interesting. Its starting in a few days. Oh and oh, my, God, 30 rock is finally...

And yet so near. Frustrating.
I need to get a life. I'm so tired of my menial existence. I used to get satisfaction from work and school, and no more. I'm just like everyone else now. That's never fun.

Keep gettin' the name confused with Stalin.

By the way, I love Tina Fey's rendition.

Big debate tonight. I am personally putting aside my busy business just to watch it. Friggin' woman is LITERALLY a 70 year old's heart beat away from the presidency. (Because we all know small town America and old people are the real folks here who decide who gets to be President - they control most of the electorate!).
I mean, you know, if you're on the Titanic - you got some options. Either get on a boat if you can, or jump off the ship into frigid water and feeze to death,...

Oh my God, she is such an insult to womanhood.
If you friggin' money-greedy Republican Pakistanis vote a THIRD time for the Republican party just for your blasted tax cuts and all that rubbish, I will personally find you and hunt you down and make you eat my feet.
Jeez, to think muslims have had such a big hand in voting in Republicans, and yet these people screw up SO MUCH. And now they're offering us the best they have: Palin.
Ridiculous. Friggin'...

It sucks to be 25 1/2 and not be satisfied with the person you are - inside and out.
I hope as you guys seek Laila-tul-Qadr these nights, that you find yourselves content with your existence. Because you know what? In the end, that's all you need to do well in life.

I have so much to read and study, and yet my body says "Just go to bed..."
Hm...I'm so glad I have a bed. I wonder if I will still have a bed once the economy goes ape shyte on us.
I can deal with losing quite a bit. I'll moan and whine about it, but in the end, I'll give in. But I don't know about losing my bed. Friggin' thing is the best spot in my life right now.
Ok. Nite nite.
