We got a call from the folks in Pakistan - the one where I had a crush on the guy and he's now getting married to some other girl and the mother of the boy was calling us and rubbing it in that oh she's sorry we couldn't be there.



Well, the girl is now at their home, wedding is over.

And they call here, and I'm asked to speak with the girl.

WTF do I say???

I'm like...well, welcome to the family...have a good time...come...

So, today, I managed to talk to my dad to get her to talk to my mom and apologize which he wont do, and now he's angry that I think he shouldn't have said certain things, and sorta hurt.

And I'm like, no, its not like you to say mean stuff to mom, so I can understand why you're angry, just cannot accept that you'd say mean crap to her.

I'm just so sick of it

They just keep fighting. I'm at a point where I want to sit them both down and tell them to cut out...

So after yesterday's work, I met up with my friend and her husband. On the way met up with a girl I know who was trying to get home and lost. We were both hungry and so I took her to downtown and we were disappointed to find the Chinese place closed for the night so we settled for chipotle. I got it that night for that one "you came to Chicago to eat chipotle??"

um no, but we were tired and that's what we had.

So finally going block to block we found where...

Today is a beautiful day!!

This place rocks - I feel like I'm back in NYC again. Lovely it is. There is a walgreens on every corner - walgreens is overpriced for us in Miami. I only go there if I need some med emergently overnight or if there is nothing else within close driving distance. But here, walgreens is all the rage - now I know why it the chain hasn't gone down under yet.

It really is windy. I went back to my friend's apt on the train. Trip cost 2 bucks!! Then i walked to her apt in the bitter cold and rain. Jesus Christ! That was sheer torture!!

I'm at her apt and her husband is home. It must be so nice to have a husband to come home to. He works IT from home and she spends long hours at work. I need a stay at home IT boy. Anyway maybe we'll go to Devon tonight. For now my vacation is amputated due to my foot - swellling is getting worse....

Nothing like some good old fashioned disappointment and discouragement when away from your comfort zone.

Can I just give up and settle for mediocrity? I don't know why I truly bother anymore.
