I have very low tolerance for a-hole men who come on this forum and treat it like their personal private lounge.

I'm looking for a goddamn rishta - that does not mean I'm some hooker looking for tafree. You men need to get that through your heads. The way you want the women of your family to be treated better be the way you treat other girls.

I have been "encouraged" not to post Seef's communications even on my blog. Definitely, on the forums, the policy is you cannot post PM's and email contents.

However, as the trend of desi playboy's and tafree seekers here increases, I do want the information to be freely available to guppans.

If time permits, hopefully today or tomorrow, I'm going to compile the communications. I will draw it up into one document, and if you would like, PM me, and I'll PM you what I have.

So after yesterday's work, I met up with my friend and her husband. On the way met up with a girl I know who was trying to get home and lost. We were both hungry and so I took her to downtown and we were disappointed to find the Chinese place closed for the night so we settled for chipotle. I got it that night for that one "you came to Chicago to eat chipotle??"

um no, but we were tired and that's what we had.

So finally going block to block we found where the blue line took off. She got onto the platform and I went half trotting down lake street to Michigan avenue to meet up with the friend's husband. Friend was getting to the movie theatre from work and plan was she would get tickets and hold our spots.

So as I'm running to keep up with the big strides this oversized man is making towards the AMC, we get a call from the wife (my friend) abd she says that they're not running ANY movies - instead they are running twilight and at midnight they were going to show a sneak preview of new moon. How funny. The husband and I get to the AMC and he begins cursing 12 year old girls in general. Damn teeny boppers - one teen walking in through the door was unfortunately targeted by our dirty looks.

So we get in a cab to try another AMC in downtown and the cab driver is desi. We were joined by the husband's friend who is also guju. Guju boy says to taxi driver "fast fast"

the taxi driver says Ina monotone thick desi accent "I show you fast fast". We went swinging and were rolling like rolling pins in the back seat.

That was hilarious - and on top of it, taxi driver gives guju boy his phone number and says "call me"

:rotfl:

This place rocks - I feel like I'm back in NYC again. Lovely it is. There is a walgreens on every corner - walgreens is overpriced for us in Miami. I only go there if I need some med emergently overnight or if there is nothing else within close driving distance. But here, walgreens is all the rage - now I know why it the chain hasn't gone down under yet.

The buildings on Michigan avenue are absolutely beautiful !!!!

Gothic architecture is big here but alongside the 1920's gothic revival stands avante garde architecture, giving it a more unique feel than NYC. I still like manhattan better because you can walk it from one end to the other without public transport if you wanted and you will see mostly small businesses on the way.

Here the university culture is really big. People are educated and when I got on the bus I had a culture shock of my life - it was mostly white people. Now you know things are safe where you see a lot of white people!

Lake Michigan looks like south beach ocean. I would never think it's a lake !

This place is definitely super cool.

TLK is right. Jafri : meet up with me so I can make sure you really are 13. I hope McPendo has not taught you more profanities of life in digi.

I am missing my digi friends. I am missing home.

Will write more tonight. Going to Devon street soon.

So remember the feminist I told you guys I met a couple of days ago? I was expecting an email but didn't get one? Ok, so I finally came across him again today.

This goes to show how important it is to interview the guy and ask him questions!!!

He says, when I ask him whether he wants sons or daughters, says both. I say ok, so what happens if you don't get a son? He says, well I love my parents very much and would want to pass on their blood. I'm like, I don't understand. He says well I need to pass on the name, and how could I not, I love my parents so much?

I'm like....WHAAAAAAAA??????

Amazing that such freaks still exist in this time and age. Even more amazing that they openly admit to their freakish beliefs.

Definitely something I do not miss.

Average Sunday morning of Hard-Working College Student: Paper due on Monday, and sitting down to write it this morning. Test on Tuesday, waking up early on Sunday morning to cram. Sunday morning spent at school LIBRARY as oppose to the beach or hiking or picnic or fun date with hot girl/boy.

Average Sunday morning of Someone Who Is Past All That: Wakes up at 8 am, stretches, and either
1. If Lazy Boy --> goes back to sleep
2. If proactive girl --> gets up to do her early bird shopping to get extra percent off her shampoo and bras, and then spends the rest of the day watching TBS re-runs to rev herself up for hard work Monday morning.

I am #2 in the second category.

:D

I HATE COLLEGE!!!!! I spent all morning yesterday with kids in grad school, and their lives are so sad. I lived the same life not too long ago - where Sunday was spent actually doing WORK as oppose to relaxing. Where you ALWAYS had some paper, assignment at the back of your mind, and learning became a drag because of the constant judging by professors. Look, I love to learn. I love to learn when I don't have some miserable underpaid overworked professor looking over my shoulder to make sure I meet up to HIS standards, even though mine may be very different.

Thank God college is over. I'm never going back to school again. If I want to learn something, I'm teaching myself and saving myself the tuition money.
