A while ago i came across a recipe of baked chicken which was step by step with photographs. It was supposed to taste like fried chicken with crunchy top but was baked. I didn't had the second ingredient for the coating so i couldn't try the recipe. Now, that i feel like buying the rest of the ingredients..i can't find that webpage.

for this volunteer and project experience. I feel sad for other people. I feel love for the kids. I had many questions that were unanswered. I made numerous observations and i feel blessed for all the necessities You have provided me. Be it clothing, food or the roof over my head.

I am so silly sometimes. This is not the first time i have done this. I had to attend a help session for my internet course. The prof was going to have a session for genetics because the majority of the class had problems with the things. I reached there one hour before the session and i am waiting outside the lecture room. I went around and checked both the doors. There was a class that was happening. I didn't see the students or the prof from my course anywhere. It was until after the class time...

Since, i miss pakistan and india...i am going to post some photographs from the last trip which was back in 2004.

I will start writing about my childhood trips. Some of the things and trips are all mixed up in my mind but i'll write them down.

I don't remember any of the trips from karachi to delhi via train. I have no memories of the taj mahal trip. I do remember a bus trip from jamal mamu's wedding when i was in prep (its after nursery and before grade 1)

I do have confusing memories of lahore and islamabad.I remember staying at Abbas chacha's place. I remember Roma and her brother...

want to go to pakistan and india. Can't wait for summer.

I am just thinking about all the past memories. All the fun.

I want to sit in karachi with all the leftover elders in my family and i want to interview them and want to record it this time because i forget things. I want to know the pre-partition history of my dada's side. Hopefully i can do that. I want to go and visit those ancestral places.

I want to eat that aloo ki subzi and puri that everyone...

I just took these internet courses so that i don't have to attend night classes. I don't like these courses specially this Natural Science course. For the past 3 weeks we are doing assignments on genetics. I don't hate genetics. It's the math/calculations part that goes over my head. I never really liked or understood problem sums I have to wait for osama to come home and help me with this week's assignment. In future, i'll try to stay away from the net courses, if it's not my core courses.

Thoughts of exams and assignments and presentations pareshan me at night. The older i get the more worried i get from inside about things.Plus, the thoughts of doing tons and tons of things before i go to pakistan and india InshAllah in early may worries me as well. I just hope i can do everything by myself.But, then the thoughts of travelling calms me a bit.

I received a letter from a guppan and it just feels as if she's actually talking to me. I felt very happy after i read her...

In the first one, saadaan was bugging zayan and he made this hairstyle of zayan.




The second one is from the halloween time. Zayan's babysitter took him to their party room in the building where kids were getting candies from the building management...so, she did this for zayan.

At times i read, watch or hear things in my classes that i think i could include in my journal but then i see that people have enough sadness around them..so, i am not sure if i should write those things down about the world.

One of my prof mentioned that he plays cricket and all of a sudden i have this urge to play cricket...i miss my backyards from karachi and my childhood, where me abbu and faizan used to play cricket on the weekend in the evening. Haha, either i used to get out...

I am all set in the routine life of a student. Due to this season almost everyone at home was sick. My cough is still going after 3/4 weeks. Zayan, had everyone from flu to high fever to ear infection to eye infection. His virus is so strong and isn't going away. He's better though.

On the volunteering front, finally i found something and today i spent 3.5 hours there. It was a great learning experience for me. It's a food bank that supplies food to over 170 agencies in toronto. All...

i just disappear without telling you folks..

I am just going to disappear for few weeks now because i already have tons of university work already to catch-up and this semester i have to do a project that involves volunteering and it's due on Feb 20th. Yesterday i was thinking about my assignments, exams and projects...aur ikhtelaj shuru ho giya. But i promise i'll reply to your snail mail letters when i get them. InshAllah.

Alhumdullilah, my holidays were great and i hope and pray kay Allah upcoming eids are fun too InshAllah.

Sallu Mamu and his family were the first ones to arrive..and Allah kay fazal say...zayan adjusted well with his kids. Later in the evening all the guests were here. Evening before eid was fun. After midnight when all the kids were sleeping...i started to put mehndi on everyone including myself.

On the eid night we had the eid dinner at our place. I put lots of mehndi...

i have written the letters last night and will post them today. Today is a very hectic day for me as our visitors are arriving this evening. I will be extremely busy on the weekend. So, i won't be around until after eid. Hence, i want to wish you all a happy eid before hand. May this eid brings joy for you and your family. Aameen.

zayan's curly hairs were cut yesterday night by ammi and saadaan. Now he looks like a baby. He wants to talk to people on the phone otherwise he starts crying. Sorry Gemini. Also, i tried writting letters this morning but i can't because zayan sahab has all the papers and pens. He's writing to you girls..hehe. I will write when he's sleeping at night.
