Freaky
Just woke up with this.
I am moving into a new place so am told I should do a majlis here. Ammi (i think) tells me she will take care of all the details. When the day comes I am being showed the arrangements. She takes me to the room where the women will be seated. It is as it usually is. On the ground there is white chaddar for women to sit on. I am uneasy with the whole thing though. One strange thing is that usually the way it works is that the molvi sahab's mimbar is in the mens area, and there is a tv screen in the womens area for them to see him. In this room though, there is a mimbar, with a molvi sitting on the mimbar. staring seriously at nothing with a fixed expression. not sure if hes a person or a mannequin.. think he was a person. very broad chest. i ask what this means, and am told this is for the women to watch it. a button is pressed and a secret panel on the molvi's chest reveals a big tv screen, not one of those flat screens, old style with the very non-flat screens (i think with hindsight I feel its like the one I bought for my parents when they came). The majlis is now in session, the TV is on. Its not a molvi on the screen though, theres a tennis match going on. Center court. On the lower side of the court, the player is very angry. shouting, cursing. As soon as the person on the upper side serves he smashes the ball back deliberately targeting the person's face. The ball hits the upper court players tinted glasses which break into his eye, he falls to the floor. Murmers from the crowd. The lower court player screams incomprehensibly, rushes over to the prone player. I can feel the air as his racket comes down repeatedly on the fallen players head (I feel I am the person being attacked).. the attacker shouting you should have taken the penalty / played by the rules.
