the outcast

being the eldest in the fam, i always felt like quite the outcast. Having to make my kid sister take showers and remind her to brush her teeth and wash her face before going to school.. she still hates me for it... and i still tease her about it till this day..
Now, being a mother... i again feel the same. Like, why are we mothers only here to administer discipline, cleaniness, bath times.. toilet times... eating times.. sleeping times. It seems, we are just the horrible monsters that kids want to run from.
Well, actually... Heba still wants MAMA to put her blanket on.. not only that... but if the blanket is on the other end of the house, MAMA has to bring it and place it on the madame.. MAMA can ONLY wash her bottle and warm it and hand it to her... MAMA can only do this and that.... No daddy..
But, get this..... all the cutesy wootsy names are for daddy.. and all the monstrous horrendous characters are .. yours truely...
so, when we're being Dora characters. Heba is Dora, Daddy is Diego (he wishes) and guess what Mama is... SWIPER! for goodness sakes.... shukar hai she didnt make me Benny the Bull..
Now, she has another cute name for her daddy... Batman... so he's batman.. and she's bat girl... wanna know what mama is... no, not joker.... im BIG Batgirl.. not even catwoman or bat woman... but BIG batgirl.. like what is that supposed to mean?
and yes... im the monster. So when they are hiding from a monster.. it actually means, yours truely again..
I should stop doing everything in protest. But then what would happen? She'd go without her bath, brushing her hair.. looking like a princess, which is the only reason she gets out of her bed for.
Do other mother's get me? Do you also feel like the outcast?
