Hello,
I am quite new on this forum, so please pardon my ignorance. Basically I would appreciate any advise/help regarding possible job opportunites either in Middle East or in Pakistan within Telecom or IT industry? How can I go about searching or possibly applying for jobs in either place. I did try typical channels like different job sites etc but no result yet?

Any suggetion?

Regards
Amir.

There are quite a few job sites for the Middle East and Pakistan.

http://www.bayt.com would come to mind for example

Maybe we can make a site for pakistan and call it "bhoot", or "jinn" like they call it monster here. Or maybe "Churayl" or "PCG."

If you are doing nothing, can I help you?

there seems to be a serious lack of resources for anyone trying to find a job in Pakistan from the web.

I’m afraid I have to disagree with you Kaleem.
I have been employed through Bayt.com in Pakistan twice in the past 5 years with very reputable well grounded companies and I am forever thankful to Bayt.com to say the truth. Thanks to them, thousands of people today are able to secure themselves and their families a stable lifestyle and a fixed income.
I think the trick is to make sure your online resume is complete, professional and constantly refreshed. It seems a lot of people don’t bother to ever update or complete their CVs. With 30,000 employers from around the globe and free memberships to over 2.2 million job seekers, I would definitely recommend you to go ahead and try again. Best of luck!

Ummm, how come nobody has mentioned Rozee! rozee.pk is the perfect resource for finding an IT job in Pakistan, even the universities have some sort of program with rozee which they use to help students find jobs upon graduation.

You can also apply direct to some companies. Call centers pay well, and they usually have lots of jobs that don't require you to be fielding calls all the time. TRG (the resource group) lets you apply for a job with them online, as does ovex technologies. Both companies pay starting at 18-25 k rupees, and easily go way up from there.

Hope this helps.
