Well sorry I do not know any thing about these Unis. I have heard the names but have not studying experience there. Why dont you get their telephone numbers and get some basic info. Or tell them to send you their prospectus. You can communicate with them thru e-mails too.

Agha khan University is considered to be one of the best institution in pakistan........

You are graduating from high school from where ?
if it is from pakistan it would Certification not graduation , that would call Higher Secondary School Certificate or say 12 Years Education.
But in case your education is from outside , then we would have see to the system in that country, however key thing is that , that your Years of Education do counts.
Suppose you have completed 12 years of Education that will mean you have Higher Secondary School Certificate or HSSC or say you have O/A Level Education.
Your subjects must of Science that shuld include include Bio/Botany and Chemistry as must.
For admissions in Medical Sciences in pakistan you must have 60% total Marks in your last certification , then you will be eligible for to appear in Entry Test and your admission would be decided on that basis.
AgaKhan University in Karachi have their own Test and Eligibilty Creteria which could be found on www.aku.edu .
In case you donot succeed in admission to MBBS , then you have option of Pharm-D (Doctor of pharmacy) option (close to medicine) program.
That is available at many public sector univeristies in Pakistan.
Your Posts shows your second Option is Middle East (Qatar and KSA) for further search and value able information regarding students guidence you can go through this link

Hope you find your Replies here or on the refered links.

graduating from High School [grade 12 i guess as is in Canada] and u r worried about which med school to go to? u ahve to do 4 years of BSc b4 u can apply for aadmission. go to a university with good undergrad programs in Biology, Math and Physics, Chemistry. u have to meet the pre-requisites. remember one thing...u ahve to eb a rounded person...not just academic excellence, u've to have some paid work experience in any capacity [to show u r reliable, sincere and dependable] and some volunteer experience [to show u r a compassionate person, u care for the poor and u are a kind hearted person as well] so all combined, then try to get good references from employers and acquaintances.
u may write MCAT well in advance. try to fall in a high percentile. Good Luck!!!

These are not considered short cuts in majority of the world......., so its not just india pak and middleeast, in UK you dont have to get an undergrad degree before going to med school either. Its the same in much of europe.

weill cornell medical college -doha, qatar is affiliated with Cornell in US. the admission is very tough there, and according to the UK system of education, you have to do your A2 to get admission. Since you'll be doing your grade 12, it should qualify you to apply, but like i said, you have to have real good grades to get admission.
Aga Khan is a very well known uni in Pakistan, and is also affiliated with McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. I don't remember their admission policies at the moment, but do check out their websites to get a better idea of what their admission requirment is. I believe they do take grade 12 with atleast a B avg. You also have to write their entry test, which is mostly Grade 12 stuff, but if you have a chance to take a course to study for it in pakistan, i would recommend it.
Sorry never heard of the uni in riyadh.
SWEEETY! sweety!!!!!! JAAAAGO*nudges herrrrrrr and pulls her outta journals* OMG go look at teh PRINCE uffffffffff :faints: GOOOOOOOOOO

Some US schools are offering 6 year medical program as well, which are direct entry after highschool, which IMO is very good for those who are very serious about the profession. While obtaining a BSc is beneficial for life experience purposes, it does waste a lot of time for those who want to start working as soon as possible. Canada seriously lacks such program and instead insists on an undergrad degree (which btw, to get any real medical school to seriously look at you consists of 4 years of undergrad, not 3), or atlest a few essential undergrad courses to gain admission.

You are so right, UMDNJ (uni of medicine and dentistry new jersey) used to offer the 6 year program, had friends who went there. Not sure if they still do but I heard other places were doing the same.
