Mods are kind enough *cough* to move threads to more appropriate locations but my question is WHERE are they moved to and how can we find that out? You see a thread and it says moved but no idea where it has been moved to.

Is it possible for Gizzy to create something that will say "MOVED TO....xyz Forum"?

And yes I know this will need to be moved too..I was going to place it in the helpdesk feedback but that is a dead link right now.

OH..and whoever moves this..PLEASE let me know WHERE you move it to!!

Thanks

I am moving it to Moderating issues forum

Is this part of the feedback forum..because if so, I am having a problem with that. Everytime I click on feedback forum I get a message "page not found" and it does not allow me to backtrack onto gupshup.

The drop down menu immediately below the gupshup banner. I click on HELPDESK and I get a sub menu where FEEDBACK FORUM is located. I was originally going to try and post there but I constanly get that broken link.

Ahem! (That was a weird out of place comment Amir!)

ANYWAY!.....TLK, thanks for noting the broken link but the question still remains...how do I find out where moved threads are redirected to?

If you could answer this or have someone who knows tell me...I would appreciate it.

Also, I would like to request that you provide this information on some guideline or FAQs. Thanks

Usually if the thread is moved to another open forum, you'll see the redirect that will take u to the thread in its new location.

If you cannot access a thread or it has "vanished" it means its moved into the Review Folder, for, well, further review, which is only accessible to mods...that's why, if you still see the redirect, you cannot access that thread.

Usually if/when we move a thread into RF, we let the original poster know, as well as make sure there is no redirect left behind so that other members cant click and wonder why they cant access it

Wildhal .. guidelines are in works. I appreciate your patience and can relate to the frustration that is caused by the sudden disappearance of threads/posts. GS is bringing back the auto notification where you will be automatically notified in case of thread move. Till then, please PM the mod of that forum to learn about the status.

Also, what SARA516 mentioned also applies.

I actually was trying to find a moved thread that was opened by someone else. I still dont know where it went!

It was a link by Sairaji about some outfits under $150 and was opened in Bazaar talk.

When you move a thread, the notification goes to the original poster. But if a person is merely trying to view someone elses thread that has been moved, they dont know where to look for it as they receive no information.

I still cannot access the feedback forum link. Any idea when that is going to be fixed??
