hey guys.
thinkin to do a course in web/graphic designing... which one should i go for, which is better. I was thinkin abt graphic desiging...

You may learn Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver for this, better to join some designing institute

who join courses 4 such things ... they will teach u basics of photoshop n watever software is dere ... do the basic at home ... n learn 4m online tutorials ..
how many ppl i hav met who done courses r limited 2 what they hav learn dere ... graphics is a creative field .. u don't need 2 learn it ... just get inspired .. if u want 2 learn .. learn color thoery ... lights & shadows ...
programer ... visual effects ... web dev .. 3d animator .. compositer ... tech suport...graphic designer ...3d Game Developer (workin on it) +++

At least he needs a base, if he don't know basic concepts how can he be an expert.
Yes learning by online tutorials / research and learning kits available is a nice option.
the best thing is to do projects

basic of every software is almost same ... For Artists " Tools doen't matter" ...

Nah, (depends if Hiring person is an idiot) ...
in designing field .. all dat matter is ur work ...
like in animation ... our demo reel counts .. not certificates ...
--- for xample ---
i have been working in many field .. for web designing, programing, video, IT, multiumedia, 3d animation, +++ ... without any certificate ...
only 2 page CV + one DVD ... or sample work ... dats all

You will be ready to design any static website if you learn Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Frontpage or Dreamweaver, Imageready and Macromedia Flash, other additional Software & Utility you can learn later side by side
