Snobish

So, It seems that there are a lot of SME's in this part of GS.... and i am unfortunately not that aware of who specialises in what

It is evident that you're all busy people being firefighters on your projects, so i thought it would be a good idea for you all to post a little (or a lot) about your skill-sets. It doesn't have to be an extensive list, but key points e.g. your programming language proficiencies etc would be good to know

The outcome of this thread will hopefully be that everyone will explicitly understand what kind of knowledge base we have here on GS... However if everyone starts to pester you incessently for support... mea culpa

I'll post my skills once the thread gets rolling... i don't want to embarrass myself in comparison to you heavyweights...

I would not call my self SME but Unix is my strength .. then MS Excel .. I think I am pretty OK in using it for more than spread sheet

I have not been doing active software development for a while now, when I did I used to work in Java & C#.Net
Now I do implementations of VOIP based Soft-Switches & IVR systems.

Director of Information Technology and Senior network engineer for a company that owns online and traditional schools and property management business.

My focus is mainly towards Networking and hardware (LAN/WAN, 10 yrs) with heavy infiltration of Cisco and Microsoft technologies. Over the past 5 years, I've developed some basic web development skills, nothing major though. I hate programming so I avoid it as much as possible.

Home lab,
Imageshack - homenetworklab

Studying for CCIE on the side but it seems every time you start it, they manage to change the lab structure/material!
