Cool

hello peepz.. i just saved a couple of email addys that my cousin gave me of some other cousins, and i saved it on notepad, but unfortunately i saved the file as ".com" and now im unable to open the notepad. It starts opening on MS-DOS.. how do i change it back to simple notepad??? i tried changing the name of it, but didnt help..

i could have asked for it again from my cousin, but hes in montreal and i wont be talkin to him for another month or so..

if anyone know how i can change and open it back to normal notepad, that'll be great.

Thanks.

open MS-DOS..

browse to file..
then open it using : edit [filename]
after that save it with whatever extension you wanted to ...

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Doh

Did you try to "right-click" on the file as people above suggested? If you did you definately would not see the black screen.

You even get that on Vista!

Keep the shift button pressed then right click on it, you might then get it

or just rename the files extension to .txt
make sure you enable the viewing of known file types?
