Ponting finally breaks the curse against India and storms back into form with a scintilating knock of a 123 followed by Hussey who is not out on 48. My guess is that this will be a very closely finished match.
I don't know how many chances were given to Ponting to reach his mark but the decision of Matthew Hayden of caught behind was wrongly given by Asad Rauf. The bat brushed the pad and did not make contact with the ball. The Snick-o-meter showed a peak/nick but there was none.
Ponting was adjudged as not out when the ball - pitched outside off - was clipping his middle-and-off. Rudi upheld the decision and had technology been introduced, it would have overruled the initial decision.
And this was all by the end of first drinks break.
kiyaa india 150 say pehlaY 10 out ho saktay haiN ???
Sunil Gavaskar, during the first session of first day's play, was contemplating whether Australia would be back in pavilion by tea time (on first day) and how much of a lead will India take by the end of second day.
Double depression - lousy Indian batting + lousy commentating. Might as well call it a night. Where are Arun - Aamer when I really need them? SivaRK, give up dude - you are clearly trying hard, but will never reach the level of the sublime duo. You are just irritating.

Giant Jee, I am also missing Aamir Sohail, although not as much as your Arun Lal though.
Dhobi bhai jee, I am delighted to find a fellow connoisseur! Kahaan gaye woh din....those lectures on the dating habits of migratory birds, the delightful chatter on necktie patterns....all gone. All we're now left with is this inane technical stuff - you would think a cricket game had broken out, the way these guys go on and on.
Meanwhile this game looks like it is rapidly moving towards a predestined outcome. I need another team to support. The ICL Dhaka warriors look good. And who knows, maybe the Articulate Arun is commentating in the ICL.
