WOW those are good figures, maybe he is supposed to be the surprise feature in the semis so Saf wouldnt have been able to plan for them.
those are good averages, he should be bowling some!

How about his batting? Do you hv his statistics?

I agree, SA is in good touch but they often choke at crucial matches. Pakistani players will be under pressure too so whoever first loses nerves will lose the match.

Actually his batting averages are pretty impressive too, 42.02 in first class T20 and 32.00 in T20 internationals... but that has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make....
If he does play in the final & is not replaced by Tanvir, he should bowl so we can get 12-15 over of spin in.
Pakistan have more than a 50/50 chance, the SAF team is worried about choking & talking about "process over results" lol

I don't want to spoil the Party but being a pessimist i think SAF will win rather comfortably
If SAF bats they'll probably score around 180+ and our team will probably end up at 140+
If we bat first we'll probably not go beyond 150 and SAF will probably chase the target with 16-17 Overs
I hope our Team will make me eat my words

Pakistan had a good run but unfortunately South Africa is too strong and more committed than us to win the cup. They'll smoke us tomorrow! I hope Younis and Co. prove me wrong!

My best wishes to the Pakistani team and fans. Now that India has f'ed up, I really do not have a strong liking/hatred for any team other than Pakistan.
Anyways, Pakistani team and the country needs the win and if they do end up winning the title they definately deserved it.
And if I have to put my money on any team right now, it'll be on Pakistan. Btw, I am a gambler who loves calling A-A with 6-7 suited.

If we lose it w'd be mainly because of our erratic batting.
Apart from being in top form another thing that w'd help Graeme Smith’s side is the fact that they have played two matches at Nottingham during the tournament, so the Trent Bridge pitch and ground w'd be familiar to their players. Pakistan’s games on the otherhand were all confined to Lord’s or Oval in London which as we all know are good for batting. And not to mention the fact that SA successfully defended a paltry 130 the other day which w'd have only boosted their confidence and self-belief
It w'd be nice if we win but even if we lose there is no shame in getting beaten by this South African side who have looked the best team of the tournament by far. But we must make them work hard for every run and wicket. It is when we know that our players simply did not try hard enough or just folded under pressure (cf. 1999 WC Final) that a loss is so hard to take and demoralising for everyone.

My thoughts exactly - I just want to see our players put up a good fight - more so our batsmen.

most ppl here are so scared of Saf you guys talk of a Pak victory as if it might be a pleasant accident..........................Pak will crush them like a tin can tomorrow for sure.
its T20I, if it was a test or ODI, I would be circumspect as well. T20I suits our team. We need a 50 from Razzak, Yunis or Kamran and a couple of fast 20s. if GA hadnt brought up the 99 final, I was hoping for Pakistan batting first and smothering Saf with spin.
^WC 99 final was won by Warnes 4 wickets. For some ppl winning by a narrow margin hurts more. The 87 semi or the 96 quarter hurts more because it could have easily gone either way & our teams were better. The 99 cup only feels bad when you remember we beat Aus in the group game... for me.
PS we would have beat Aus in 99 if it had been a T20 as AUd took 20 overs and one ball to beat us

Our team is so unreliable, you cant really predict what they will do in the next match.
Adding Razzaq to the T20 team is a good decision by far. Our bowlers have done a great job till now but our batsmen lag behind in their performance. We have chances of winning if our batting line up gets sorted out a bit .. Even if we lose, its still a great achievement by our team to at least get to the Semi Finals with all that has been going on with them.

i think Pak stand a very good chance of winning the match today. The single most crucial aspect will be their mindset. I hope they have proper self-belief and play accordingly.
Technically, I can see only two liabilities for Pak:
- the opening overs with Aamer and Razzaq. Hopefully they can restrict the run rate and not force Yunus to bring on Gul early.
- the openers. Hopefully they can stick around for 5 overs and score between 35-40 runs for the first wicket.
Why so serious ... ?

Not sure as to what is a good score at trent bridge, the surface always brings up surprises. That being said, 150 runs on the board always seem gettable, a good score i fink would be 165, giving an ave. of 8 runs an over.
Can't call this one, its a tuffy.
