Thank you Allah for blessing us with a victory of our champions and for bringing a new ray of light in these dark times in our country! May Pakistan be safe and may it prosper and may it have more victories!

Stand up, stand up for the champions!

Mubarak to everyone

Almost all channels here in pakistan are airing more and more national songs. It just warms your heart.

btw this song is just awesome! always have loved pure winning passion in this song. This was created by South africans on their rugby world cup victory few years ago. We will gladly borrow this song till next April at least

It's amazing to see how unifying this whole experience is..Pakistanis celebrating across the world as a nation. I gave several jumping/dancing ovations during and after the match hope they count..hahahah

Reposting from my blog (the scenes are worth repeating!)

Some amazing scenes today after Pakistan won the twenty20 championship at Green Street in London, which today was especially Green with Pakistani flags.

I wont say much, will let the pictures do the talking. The whole street was lined with cars blaring their horns in celebration. The din and joy were unbelievable and infectious.

A black lady stood around watching all this, noticed that people said Pakistan Zindabad. So with a big grin she said "Pakistan!" which induced a loud zinadabad from everyone around.

Videos and pics:

(my flag is center stage, although im not the waver)
