Pak 342 lead SLA (292) by 50 runs
Despite those two runouts (Yousuf and Akmal ) all in all a good day for Pakistan...remember we were 80/4 at one stage!!
Akmal's runout was esp. needless as he was going along so well and could have taken us to an even bigger score on day 3

True genius, mashallah. Comes into the team after 1 year, scores a ton and saves Pakistan. What Razzaq means to ODI/T20 team, Yousuf is to Test.
With the lead of just 50, a draw is almost out of the question. Anything over 300 will be tough in the 4th inn.

All in all a good day. Hopefully we will be able to skittle Lankans out for a getttable fourth innings total. Without Murali, Lankan bowling is average at best. For some odd reason, Pakistanis have played Mendis better than any other team given our pathetic record against spinners. (both in t20 and here)

^ True, but this time it was an excellent throw and not his running.

Younis Khan to Herath, no run, nicely bowled, at 113.8 kmph, moved away and the batsman wasn't tempted to go for the drive
Younis Khan to Herath, no run, held it back, and a bit more pace on it, 122.3 kmph, extracts some good bounce off the pitch, ruffled Herath a bit but the batsman handled it well in the end, withdrawing his bat
Younis Khan to Paranavitana, no run, close shout for lbw, looked mighty close, round the wicket, swinging in to rap him on the pads as he came forward to defend, struck him on the flap and the umpire thought the swing might have taken it down the leg side, worth a shout though, the height was a bit a question as well
Younis Khan to Herath, OUT, wicket at the brink of lunch! full and swinging into the pads, landed on middle and struck him low in line with leg stump as he tried to push it through midwicket, Harper thought hard about it and raised his finger but we need replays to confirm if that would not have slid down the leg side

Pakistan need to build pressure!!
Standing for what you believe in, regardless of the odds against you, and the pressure that tears at your resistance, means courage

156/7
Lead of 106.
Lets see if Pak can restrict them to a max of 150 lead.
