I am sure we can get TV recordings with Dasti blaming (not questioning) even if it takes long he should get a lesson ....

What a moron this Dasti is. It'd be awesome if Dasti himself has to resign over this fiasco. Looks like he was aiming for cheap publicity at the cost of our cricket team. What other international captain would want to be hauled over to the parliament for explanation after every defeat? The stupidity of this astounds me.

Pakistan is the only team that made it to the Semi-Finals of both the T20 World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy (this being the first time Pakistan has made the semi-finals of Champions Trophy). So instead of getting kudos, poor Younis Khan gets this treatment. Only in Pakistan.

I agree with a poster who left a comment on cricinfo saying Pakistani players should refuse to play until that stupid senator Dasti resigns.

That would be a great way of backing up your captain and showing unity of the team.

Yup, that would be good and loaded episode of this fazool drama. For heaven sake, if something has to be done (i.e if some attention has to be given to this loser Dasti), PCB or younus can drag him in court and be over it. .....

what a waste contry we are!! What shameful episode. Why are we like this? Sunil Gavaskar at once had said that if pakistan cricket had no politics then they would be where australia is today... I am so disgusted with this episode...

Look at this stupid reply by dasti!!!! Wow, what a sucker he is. Why can't we just shoot him??

Dasti On Younis's resignation -
"He has resigned in the past also. But our stance is clear that if we hear serious allegations against the team we have a duty to investigate those things. There was never any intention to dishonour any player," Dasti said.

On how we can improve team performance
"As far as we are concerned we have done our work and we have also made certain recommendations to the Board for improving the performance of the team," he added.

I think dasti should know tht the only way we can improve the team performance is by letting them play cricket and not drag them into Politics. The only way Dasti can help is by keeping his mouth shut. The only way people can help is by not burning the houses of our cricketers when we lose. The only we way can help.........

Younus Khan should have done what Imran Khan did to Botham and Lamb. OR they should smoke Dasti like Darrell Hair. Dasti should be b!tch slapped for acting like an Indian cricket fan.

I agree with those who want YK to take Dasti to court but what is PCB also doing about this? These players are paid employees of PCB so it also the board's responsibility to do something when false allegations are levelled against the captain and players. Should it not be PCB management who should be filing an anti-defamation case against Dasti in court? That should teach these senators to STFU and stop blaming the team after every loss

Indian cricket fans think that Pak lost because of poor onfield display, rather than match fixing Dasti acted more like a sore loser than anything else...

Younis Khan should grow up. captains put up with all kinds of insanity. sure the insanity in the subcontinent is a little more insane than the rest of the world... but even Ponting puts up with ridiculous criticism... you don't see him biatching about the two world cups he's won and all the test series he's won. he continues on more determined than ever to shut up his critics... Wasim put up with the most any Pak captain probably ever has - Younis has seen nothing compared to Wasim. but Wasim was still always willing to take on the challenge because he knew that he was the leader the team needed and responded to.

this is not to say that Dasti is not clinically insane. he clearly is a mental patient. but Younis has a history of not reacting well to any kind of criticism. it's like he walks around with the resignation in his pocket ready to put it in when anything happens that is not to his liking. he clearly knows that he's the only real captaincy candidate and frankly is using it to blackmail Pak cricket. doubt he would be so carefree with the resignation drama if the team had players/leaders of the caliber of Imran and Wasim who could realistically take over the captaincy from him.

if Younis' resignation is accepted, he should not be made captain ever again. and he should also realize that without the captaincy, his spot in the ODI team is pretty shaky.
