I am not following this drama, but today I got chance to watch its 15th episode on youtube. The dialogue between Falak and her mom were really impressive. I believe that contain very important message.

"mehngay kapray pehan kar cheetron main phirnay walay log hamain jaanwar nazar aatay hain"

Its mean you have power, and money that may lead you to a level/position where you start looking down/disrespectful at people who are less in power/status.

In case of Falak, she got what she wanted but in the end all circumstances lead her to realize that Allah is only final power and our desire never approve until we are kind to less privilege people.

I have read this novel,it's umaira ahmeds novel.

But what you want to discuss here?

1- money and materialist stuff can Not give you happiness
    Or
2- no matter what you have and how rich you are but you are powerless and you have to fall ?
Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala,Bura Naa Milya Ko'ee
Jo Maan Khoja Apnaa,Tou Mujhse Bura Naa Ko'ee

Well, all power and money, but still helpless in life. I think it is theme of the novel.

Are we going to discuss rude rich culture, where rich people consider others 'keeRe makoRay'?

For me, you are in Shehr e Zaat when you are occupied with the thoughts of the Only One. You may have heard the concept of Fana Fillah, its nearer to it

I've observed this attitude in government departments of Pakistan and whenever I go to there, I must utter 'Bloody Bureaucrats' when I return back. This culture of considering others low is in-built in our society. As STA referred to dialogue "mehngay kapray pehan kar cheetron main phirnay walay log hamain jaanwar nazar aatay hain". When someone gets salary of Rs 25-30 k and run Corolla and wear designers suit that doesn't mean that he is superior-one over the one who work hard all day to feed his family Halaal.

Its a psyche in societies where show-off forms basis of social and culture behavior. Cyclewala consider himself superior to pedestrian, baRi gaRi wala to choti gaRi wala.

superiority is form of almost all the societies. Arabs consider non-Arabs less superior. If a US citizen dies, US can kill millions of alleged countries involved in killing of such person.

Show-off of wealth is common in Pakistan, because wealth is the only thing that they can boast of.

the examples you cited are considering themselves superiors to other countries , races etc.Superiority even exists among their own countrymen too but among pakistanis wht i observed was it is a lot more than wht i hv seen in arabs or others around.
I cud be wrong but thts wht i felt from my interaction with them as well as from wht i saw on tv..serials n all.

You are right, in a society where majority earns wealth through wrong means, spending of wealth leads to extravagance and show-off. Rich people have introduced customs like Jahez, etc, which is not affordable by poor class, but they have to do that due to fears 'log kia kahen ge'. Life is desi society revolves around this 'log kia kahen ge'.
