jayain kis pey ... ???

Ever noticed what a pain in the neck it is to reach our beloved minar .. no man with a reasonable car ever dare jump into this challenge .. but i had my own 'Yama'

However.....
Spending almost 20 years in pakland .. or say lahore .. i have only seen minar-e-pak twice ..

and that only when badshahi mosque lost its charm for me .. .. dint take much long either ....

MR

Maharaja Yar, Lahore is much more than just Badshai Masjid and Minar-e-Pakistan. Lahore is a state of Mind. I left Lahore many years ago, but it is still closer to my heartbeat. In fact, those monuments in Lahore are no more than a rare-view mirror on an automobile, the guts of Lahore are the Lahoris. It is the people what made Lahore the educational and cultural center of the Indian Sub-continent. To be very honest, the ugliest monument in Lahore is the big unshapely tower (resembling the Washington monument) in front of the Punjab Assembly Hall. Whoever designed that monument was a person with no ideas. There are so many astonishing and inviting pieces of architecture that are just phenomenal. Having said that, I will take a Lahori over anyone of these monuments any time and any place. There is no substitute for a Lahoria. Are you one of them? I consider myself to be one, even though with roots in Sargodha and Mianwali. Let me be blunt to suggest that Lahore is the most beautiful place and Lahorias are the most sunny people on this planet.

MahaRaja--you went to Aitchison then?

I met Hassan Nawaz at Uni when he was at LSE--he came across as quite a nice guy then to be honest...

Akif,

You missed few

1)Model Town walay bhayyay kay kabaab.
2)Purani Anarkali ka falooday wala dhoodh.
3)Qartaba chowk walay bhasir dar-ul-mahi kee machhlee.
4)Mini market Gulberg kay burgers.
5)Mall road walay chaman kee ice cream.
6)Regal Chowk kay dahi bhallay.
and many more.

I went to Lahore six weeks ago after four years but I could only go to Bashir-dar-ul-mahi. I short trip of five days was not enough to cover most of the places.
