It is quite a known fact that the bride and the bridegroom gets a ring each at the wedding. But what if I say that even the guests at the wedding gets a ring? This is no joke! It is a custom in Persia which is still practiced. Everyone who attends the wedding gets a diamond ring as a token of appreciation for attending the ceremony!

we have a similar tradition at our weddings except the rings aren't diamond rings (i wish). they're made of chandi and gems/stones.

Well in our family....the very few closest people to the Bride & groom get it(and this is ONLY sometimes...not at every wedding)
so for example...the bride's parents decide to give it to the Groom's sisters, to the mother...her sisters, just very few closely related people...not to everyone that attends the wedding
