I realy doubt that! To me, it seems like these newly adopted "values" fascinate more than our culture.

saddened to see how trivial it is for us. that when we define Pakistani culture, it becomes a pass time of jokes.
we need to be serious around this topic, folks if you want your next generation to grow up with a sense of decent identity of origin.
Difference between God and humankind: God can say, 'be', and it becomes, but humankind has to act on what it says.

Everyone has responsibility. Parents at home and institutions outside home.
Media needs direction. But people must tell them where to go.
Writing to news paper and TV and not spending money on those not listening and are hell bent on shoving their ideas on people's mind and kids.
People efforts make western countries shape their policies.
On the other hand making your own cullture more attractive and palatable is needed. Meaning better writers, actors, fasion designers, teachers, and talk show hosts etc.
For example: There is no need to show a person on TV in unusual clothes or outside University T-shirt and speaking 80 to 90 percent English on Pakistani channels subscribed by the people to have some Pakistani cultural exposure to Foreign born children.
kids say why should we watch a person speaking English with an accent and unusual mixture of English and Urdu ? Its hard for them to comprehend what is being said.
Every little effort needs to be made with sincerity.

what is culture ?
anyway - there is no PAKISTANI culture as there was no pakistan prior to 1947
People living in the four provinces had their own customs and traditions. The immigrants from india brought their own flavor ... so if you are looking for a CULTURE you will notice a wide variety - values keep changing as move from one location to other. There are some practices that have spread and been adopted far and wide, some died their own death as they were not adopted by the younger generation etc etc etc.
Lets talk about agriculture

I like long walks
specially when they are taken by people I dont like

Culture means the way peope live. Thats in general.
Language, art, music, clothings, food, games, partly religion and reaction to certain inciting things etc.
Oh My God is a culture as opssed to Ya Mere Maula!
So here you have same meaning but thats enough to make 'culture' different from each other.
Since 1947 Pakistan developed its own culture to an extent.
But Pakistan culture is clouded by recent flooding of internet information and free media which on some extent is beneficial but too much freedom is killing the growing bud before it becomes flower.
Burger/Pizza/Sandwich families are growing their influence and Roti Saalan, biryani, Bhujia, Daal families getting poor to even think about it.
