Coldturkey

My Urdu sucks, and anyway i think this could be moved to the CL&L forum. They will probably be of more help there.

Lonely

Yesterday when I was on the way to home, I was pondering on same thing that what I am going to say and how? ---- ( I am not getting the meaning of this part “ yahan kahoon ga, kiya kahoon tha” . If u you know revise it n let me know).

But then suddenly I thought that everything in this world has its advantages and disadvantages. Either it’s soil, air, water or fire. Even this chair has its good and bad use. You use it to sit on it, which is its good use. But you will fell down, if it breaks. The point is that the decision to use anything, either for a constructive or destructive purpose, is purely yours.

Why didn’t God made two worlds, one for the goods and other for the bad ones? No, He created one world, where you see/find good and evil both. And then He has left it on us to choose from good and bad. The same case goes for the Media. There is no doubt that Media has its own pitfalls/drawbacks. But if we try to look/concentrate only at its advantages then the disadvantages doesn’t seem to be many. Again it depends on us on how do we look at it and use it. If we use Media only for its benefits, then there is a lot more to gain from it.

Hope it helps though the urdu paragraph is not very clear in its meaning.

You are right. The purpose is not stated. As to the translation, would you care to give it a shot? I read it, I understand most of it. The one phrase of "YahaN kahuN ga, kia kahuN ga" did also stump me. The requestor should have mentioned the purpose and where did he pick the passage to be translated.

I would have tried it myself had my linguistic abilities were a tad better. The translation does lack in proper form as you aptly stated above. And thanks for the acceptance.

Next time, the requestor/s should state their purpose of translation, as in this case for a passage and the source of the passage. The passage sounds like it was written by someone, a native speaker, who does not know how to clearly state his feelings. That is what I gathered with my limited knowledge of Urdu.
