It's just a review thread for everyone's benefit.
Is it alright to go to clubs and bars in Dubai for desis? Here in the US, most desi kids just tell their parents that they are going "bowling" or "watching a movie". Most don't really share this with their parents. On top of that, there is always that fear of you might run into someone you know from the mosque Plus, most bars and clubs are just loud, full of annoying drunks and guys acting all macho.
THis is what I have just heard btw. Never been, since I was busy studying on a Friday night, or enjoying the Symphony on a Saturday.

Oh yeah most of the clubs and bars are full of "desi's" I don't know what they tell their parents now.. but they're there
Friday nites and Saturday's are usually fun! Diff places.. loud and noisy places and then we have the more relaxed lounges.

in dubai.. hmm...
Boudoir .. Jumeriah Beach - if you can get-in, then expect to meet a prince or some foreign head on your next seat
Kasbar - one more gem from Jumeriah Beach - one of the best in the world i will say, mostly Franco-Lebanese crowd (no-brits) yaaaay..
Budha bar - Excellent, the bartender name is rik and seriously he knows what he is making.. i went their twice and they do recognize you .. give VIP service. The atmosphere is very great, a good place to end a beautiful day
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Can hijabis go to clubs in Dubai? Here in the US, that would be the most out of place thing ever.
