hi peeps ... iv been really interested in starting a BHA routine .. so iv been reading a lot on different places ...
well the most famous person on GS advocating chemical peels is chanda :D ... lol ... but the website she suggests to buy them from is US based ... and the idea of spending shipping costs is not very attractive ... and then it adds up to a very high cost. even if just to get a trial pack.
so i was searching for them somewhere in Europe, preferably netherlands ... and i ended up getting lots of hits of the brand "paula's choice" ... you can click on the link above to see it ...
this brand offers a completely different kind of regimen. others usually offer 10%, 25% or 35% concentrations, in a liquid form that can be done once a week. but this company only gives 1%, 2%, and an 8% (eight only in the case of glycolic peel). And it comes in the form of a tonic or gel, which has to be used daily, or every other day, or whatever routine ends up being most suitable.
I also read somewhere about this product that 2% is quite harsh on skin, and can dry it up a lot.
so now i am completely confused.
and to further confuse meself ... i read an article about darker skinned people to be careful while doing such peels, as they can effect the pigmentation of the skin, and leave it blotchy and uneven .. as the peels may have a permanent lightening effect. i'm a shade "honey" in bobbi-brown liquid foundation.
what to do .. any advice from people already using it ...

Have any of you done Chemical Peels? Glycolic, TCA, Jessners...
I've been thinking about doing a 12.5 % TCA and did a patch test last week. It went OK, I will dillute it with water when I do my entire face. I'm doing it to get rid of acne scars- brown spots and pitted scars.
