..Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.. ~IK~ -
Mar 20th, 2009 05:35 PM #3 ^ I'm getting the same response - it's probably undergoing some sort of renovation; new pics perhaps??? -

It does not have individual links to pages. The main page loads up and the menu has the different options. Maybe your flash player needs to be updated. There are no new designs there. I checked again. Do you have a particular outfit in mind that you need to check out? "We can change the world through our children. May we never break the strong spirits of our daughters. May we teach our sons to become loving and nurturing men. In so doing, we hold the key to universal peace, unlock the door!" -
Mar 21st, 2009 05:37 AM #7 Ladies, Thanks for all your responses. Mahismart, you'rea a star. I'm going to get hubby to check out the flash player and update it. No yaar, it wasnt any particular outfit i was after. Its just my mum is in Islamabad at the moment and i thought she could get an outfit or two copied for me as there is no way i'm going to get her to pay ridiculous designer prices!

Mar 22nd, 2009 04:13 PM #12 Hi i'm not really a fan of Karma (they have some nice outfits but far and few between) - but i really like the outfit that Aamina Haq is wearing. Lovely colour - very elegant. Is that Karma ( if it is then i'm eating my words...) still thinking about signature...... -

BTW, they say that the New Year Collection is in stores nationwide since January 2009.

I have no idea why designers come up with halter tops/strapless/sleeveless creations as most people in Pakistan are still not daring enough to wear them. You won't find girls weraring skin tight jeans and minscule tops on street. A few of the very upscale people do wear them but they sure don't wander on streets. I guess designers only cater for people with big money and target only them hence the mind boggling designs.
Ask you mother to find the October 2008 issue of SHE magazine, it had a few Karma, HSY and Sobia Nazir casuals. I liked Sobia's designs more than the other two.
Here are two Karma Casuals:
Here are two tops by Sobia Nazir: "We can change the world through our children. May we never break the strong spirits of our daughters. May we teach our sons to become loving and nurturing men. In so doing, we hold the key to universal peace, unlock the door!" -
Mar 23rd, 2009 04:31 AM #17 Thanks for that Hun, yep i think you're absolutely right about the designers catering for the high end market ie. people with the money and the attitude to be able to wear these outfits. They also present a somewhat distorted view of what life in pakistan actually is, i mean u look at the outfots and u imagine people walking around the shops wearing them! I asked my mum the same question and she said you do see girls wearing jeans but usually with a kurta top, she's seen a few girls wearing leggings and longer tops but no halter tops around Jinnah super!
I have actually ordered the Sobia Nazir top from Stlyobabe and i'm just waiting for it to arrive. I will post a pic as soon as i get it. -
Mar 23rd, 2009 03:36 PM #18 bRUMMIEBIRD is it the white one - i think that is really nice would look nice with skinny jeans and blingy sandals...
