I have two pairs of shoes which are a bit tight. I tried them on and felt a little discomfort but the salesman said that they'll loosen up so I bought them. I also tried one size bigger but that was loose... I know I shouldn't have bought them, normally I don't but impulse took over.I've tried one couple of times for a few hours but didn't help. Any tips that can help loosen 'em up?

I've already stuffed them with paper but to maintain their shape, didn't know it also loosens up. They've been stuffed for two months now, but to no effect.

^ Yep, like Ayescha said, you need to "break into them".... wear them around the house with thick socks, it should do the trick.

Erm, yes you do....you just used a double negative.

Break into them like suggested above or if you can find shoe trees in your size, they will not only hold the shape of the shoe but also stretch them slightly.

      from eHow:

      Step 1

Stretch. Take your boots to your shoemaker. Most shoe repair stores can use a boot stretcher to gradually expand the leather to accommodate wider calves.

      Step 2

Cut a v-notch. Either you or a shoemaker can cut a v-notch in the side of your boots to add extra leather or stretchy elastic gore to give your boots more diameters and allow you more flexibility.

      Step 3

Add zipper. Some boots are slip-on only and, if your calves have gotten bigger but your feet are still the same size, you can have a zipper added so you can easily slip back into your boots.

      Step 4

If you just bought your boots and it seems that they are too tight when you got back home, you can try wearing them at home for a while. They will loosen in due time, but if they do not, return them for bigger size.
      Fools never disagree.

Thanks all, Lay-D I'm tempted to try out this ice one first...I don't think mine ones are pure leather but still I'd like to try ..

and well I can't return them..bought them from Pak, dunno when I'll be going again.. So either one of these tips works or some cousin with a smaller size is getting lucky. =)
