I have a mixture skin - oily at all places except nose, joints and few cheek areas. My skin is not even toned and is prone to all kinds of problems like acne, blemishes, open pores.

I wanted to get rid of these problems so i started following a random regime. Please let me know if i am on the right track do i need to add or remove anything?

In the morning
I wash my face with Johnsons 3 in 1 exfoliating wash or my LUX soap or whichever one

Make up:
I put on my daily make up i.e kajal, face powder, blush on
I do wuzu on and off during the day
I fresh up my make up during the day

At night before i sleep
I remove my eye make up from Rimmel eye make up remover
If i remember to, i remove my make up using my Nivea Milk Cleanser
I put on Intensive Care lotion as moisturiser

During the week sometimes
I use basin + milk paste to cleanse my face
I also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub as a cleanser
I use my Loreal Dermo-Expertise whitening toner

WHat am i doing wrong? I still dont have a glowing, radiant skin. My skin still has those blemishes and still does not have a clean effect. Am i over doing it? Should i use any other product instead of those mentioned? HELP HELP HELP!

Im not an expert but I think you need to cut down on the products you use..!
I have combination skin and what I do it just use soap in the morning, I do wear make up and then at night take it off with wipes and then once a week I use the St Ives Apricot scrub and a mud face mask.
But what I would suggest is to try and drink lots of water and maybe try clense, tone and moistrise in the morning and night...
Good Luck x

don't EVER wash your face with normal soap, it takes away all natural face oils that you need

and always remember to take your makeup off at night

you should also invest in a toner :-)

Hot

I'm going to say the same..don't use any bar soap on u're face..the 3-in-1 cleanser is good enuff.

U're using too many products.. i'd just stick to cleaner and moisturiser for the dry zones.

Are u still breaking out? Products get into pores and can clog them too which is also a cause for acne.

..all you need is trust and a little bit of pixie dust!

Okay so ill cut down on the soap.

As the rest of you have said 3 in 1 wash is fine, the make up remover stuff is okay, toner, apricot scrub is fine too. What is it that i am over doing or missing here other than removing the soap from the regime?

Daring

hmmm i think u have to change some products here. u r not using too much products but mostly not for ur skin type.

for oily skin use a face wash with salicylic acid or AHA. don't use this 3in1. i couldn't see its ingredient list on net. can u tell me that one? but it loks more for normal skin.and as others say no soap at all esp no regular soap. however u can use a neem or tea tree soap or a papaya soap if u wish.

Find a face wash that says for acne prone skin or blackheads, pores etc

Wash ur face twice daily. after wash tone with rose water or witch hazel to balance dry n oily areas
u need a good but light and oil-free moisturizer and sunscreen is a must.

Buy products with thermal water, salicylic acid, tee-tree oil, grape seed oil, shea butter etc.

All ur make up has to be water based. use mineral make-up mostly such as from physician formula or some other brand whose make up is non-comedogenic and oil free. make up with zinc oxide is a good choice.

Again basin with milk is a no no for oily skin. use basin with water or multani mitti instead.

Also no milk cleanser for oily skin. milk based products r good for dry skin.
