off the top of my head, I can think of Mrs. Bunto Kazmi in Karachi who is known for great stuff. I have seen 2 of her outfits and loved them. Others I've heard were not as nice. I think it depends on what the dulhans tell her. She's expensive, but really nice, delicate kaam, but heavy as well.

You should definately check out Sonia Azhar...she has really unique and beautiful designs...she uses Swarovski crystals in her work and it also has alot of bead work...you should be able to get a bridal dress in that range from her! ...I got a few of my jahaiz dresses from her and they are so worth the price!....she doesnt post alot of pics on her website because she says alot of people copy her designs...but if you are going to pakistan be sure to check out her workshop...its really unique and beautiful!

I want to design my own wedding dress... i.e, pick out the colors, and fabrics and style and hire someone to sew it. I tried having some simple things made in pakistan but the darzi was such an idiot--i drew hjim a picture ofa skirt, and he made some ankle-lenght kurta called a "maxI" or some crap. He made all my clothes slit upto the waist and just realy ill-fitting. and his name was "accha"! inshallah if i learn to sew, i may go into fashion design and ill probably design some of you guppies' wedding gowns!
