Amina Shafat, a young Pakistani model who is regularly seen gracing the cover of magazines, agrees with Faisal's interpretation."We remain a conservative society, for our religion imposes certain restrictions on us that continue to be respected by the vast majority of our people," she says.
"Modelling is still associated with women of loose character and no matter what limits you try to impose on yourself, you inevitably end up being slotted in the same category."
Amina knows quite a bit about setting limits, for she is probably the only supermodel in Pakistan who refuses catwalk assignments and does not wear sleeveless clothes for photo shoots or fashion shows.

To clarify: The first set of pictures is of Neha.
The second beneath is of Amina Shafaat.
So, why is Amina's viewpoint invalid? I think she's got a unique way of looking at the profession. Pakistani women are all about fashion, so why should we not have a fashion industry? And if we are to have a fashion industry that stands out, why should there be skin exposure?
Many say that most Pakistani women will not wear the type of Sari that Neha is wearing. However, those pple have obviously not worn a sari. You could very well pull off the sari that Neha is wearing, but wrapping the sari around you so it covers your navel.
I think Amina has a good point. She's very popular without having to expose skin. And I think that's a massive achievement, because most designers are throwing the most raunchy clothes on the models. Models have to do it, because its their job. She's shown that she doesn't fall for the pressure.
But at the same time, I can see there a need to (at least for saris) model clothes where you would have to expose skin. If you're a designer and trying to sell your sari...and the designing is on the choli...then the model will have to show some skin when displaying that choli.
And since when should men be looking at women's fashion magazines?
But, having watched the development of the Pakistani fashion industry over the last decade, I can honestly say that many designers are crossing the line. Some of the clothes being designed are obviously being designed without keeping Islam in mind, and they're obviously being designed for an upper elite class that is desperate to be Americanized.
Its somewhat sad. I walk into top notch boutiques in Karachi - like Maria B, etc. And you know what? Designers like Shaiyanne Malik do way better business, because they're designing clothes that would not put an average muslim girl to shame. Walk into Pak Towers, and you'll see boutiques with outfits that make you wonder.
I believe in dragons, good men, and other fantasy creatures.

Kaka jeee
this is not Neha Dhupia ..... remember she was MIss India and this Neha is a Pakistani Model.
She is the same Neha who was part of the scandle when Ali Haider (singer) was caught drunk on new year eve with two of his friends.

I think her name is nhea malick. Also I dont think any desinger is keeping islam in mind while designing clothes. They may be keeping in mind the class which he/she is targeting but not due to islam at all.
As for not exposing mahnoor baloch is also a good example
