yourfriend
....my lashes are long too.. but maybelline's Great Lash works pretty good..im sure there are tons of mascaras that "seperate" the lashes.
also, they say you shouldn't really keep one certain mascara for more than 5-6 months..after that it gets all dry and clumpy.
you can also try using an eyelash comb....i've never used one though so im not exactly sure how useful they are.
mascara's nice because you can wear it and it brings out your eyes and still looks natural.

eyelash combs are EXCELLENT, just make sure to keep them clean
also eyelash curlers really open up ur eyes
its amazing what an eyelash curler mascara and eyelash comb can do to your eyes

especially the heated ones! they can make your lids go bald in as little as a year . im not a big fan of using metals to curl lashes ...mascara is enough chemical on them...... or use it very rarely....

personally i dont wear makeup v often but if i wear mascara, then curler and comb are a must
otherwise mascara doesnt look v good
