Thanks for the kind comments.
It's good to be back
My makeup style is always the same. I go light in the inner parts of the eyelid and darker towards the end (I like to stick to what I know). Always make sure you prep your face with good moisturiser and then apply foundation, now what you have is a 'blank canvas' to work on. I start with a neutral colour on the base covering the entire lid of my eyes, then I applied the gold. I used some decent brushes, nothing too expensive it was actually under £10 from Tesco! But the key really is to blend well but not overdo it as it will turn mucky. I used Go cosmetics for all my shadows, its very cheap but quality is surprisingly very good. Anyway I was saying, I used the gold on the upper and lower lid nearest the tearduct. Then I used a bronze colour for the centre and the brown for the outer 'V'. I repeated that on the bottom lid as well. This is the time to blend in the colours merging them together. Now that is done, apply some eyeliner, however thick or thin you suit it, looks good with a flick on the end and also apply it on the bottom eyelid for definition, smudge it a bit so the lines don't look too harsh, better yet get some gel liner (I need to get some) Use kajal to help soften the lines. Curl lashes and apply the mascara and your eyes should be complete. fill eyebrows if necessary and put some lipstick/gloss and a bit of blusher on the cheeks and T-zones.
I know it seems high maintenance, but it doesn't take me that long to do my make up, I guess it's down to experience.
Here is a tutorial that could help you a bit. It'll be a bit different because I did the smokey effect on there. It is my first picture tutorial and I was very nervous about showing my 'naked' face, I felt very paranoid. It's not as good as it could have been as I was too busy concentrating on taking the pics than applying the make up. But thought I'd put the thread up anyway.

I got my makeup done for an event once and I thought the eyes came out pretty nicely:
I could never do that myself though! I wish I could be a pro like Sara and SweetOne (love the golden). So far, i've gotten ok at putting on liquid eyeliner so that's a start!

wow, nice eye make up trillian, love the eyebrows. Green is one of the best colours for asians, it suits every complexion!
lubly, I wanted to get some make up done on here, but have been so busy with the move that I never had the time, now that I have settled, I'll have some time on my hands to delve a little into my cosmetic bag and maybe also my purse
Personally I don't think my make up is at that level where you could call me a professional. If you look at some sites you can see how creative they are, I only know how to work on myself. So I know that I am no where as talented as they are, but I would have loved a career in hair and beauty, it's one of my passions as you can see.
Sara, you are so sweet, but I know that it would have taken me a few practices on your face to get it right and by then you'd probably be put off by it! lol.

Sanam, you have very pretty eyes. Initially when I looked at your eyes they looked like Neha Dhupia. What do you guys think?
Teelo, I'm sure you can do a good job if you practiced. You have seen all these girls on here. Just put your pics up, no one is going to say anything horrible, there has been no nasty comments has there? If there were I'd say all of which were constructive. But I'm sure your make up skills are really good, you're just being modest
I would have loved to bring in all the girls on here and tried to do make up on their faces (if they wanted me to), so I can get better at it. Then who knows, I can start charging you all for it :whistling I could be working from home, you all coming to my doorstep, appointments only... not a bad idea, you know.
Sara! It's good to see you back to your old form! Your eyeliner is getting better each time I see you. I like the colour of the eyeshadow, what did you use? It looks good on you. Can I say something? I like your eyebrows when they aren't too thin (like the first pic), it frames your face better, Just grow it all out and start again
