i alternate btwn liquid and mousse foundation...

however, i like mousse better than liquid foundation...

PROS:

a) mousse gives a powder affect..although sum liquid foundations do as well..mousse blends in much faster than liquid

b) my skins oily...liquid foundations make my face look really shiny after 2-3 hours..mousse doesnt do that

CONS:

a) since i have oily skin..i have to use oil-free foundation...liquid foundation blends in the skin..it doesnt give me pimples at all..cuz the skin has air to breath..mousse on the other hand, is more like a powder foundation..it doesnt blends in...rather rubs off on the surface [but u can't see it]...so cuz of that i break out..since its a layer on skin not allowin the air to pass in...

overall..i use a lil liquid foundation n then mousse on top!

hope these were helpful

p.s.mousse hides away scars, pimples [like a concealer] easier..u can say mousse is a concealer foundation..but not as visible

juz wondering.. isn't that a bit 2 much..? foundation AND mousse..?

but it also depends what kind of foundation u use.. cuz there r also foundations who have a powder effect.. then there's no need of mousse..i think..

I bought mousse foundation last year, and I loved the finish it gave (more on the powdery side). Unfortunately I had problems finding the right color (I got the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse drugstore brand), so I gave the ones I bought to my sister. The color looks perfect on her, and it gives a light finish while hiding most imperfections. The good thing is that you can 'build' coverage by putting more on.

So if u had to choose between either liquid foundation or just powder which wud u use? I mean which is better for ur skin, so it can breathe and won't give u spots?

try a tinted moisturizer or a sheer foundation which doesnt give a cakey effect in a nude shade all over face. the plus of this is that u dont need a separate moisturizer. get one thats preferably oil free and has an spf of atleast 15 or more to protect your skin. if u normally have not-so-bad skin then sheer foundations are best.
common mistakes to avoid are foundations which are sheer but are oily or have shimmer in them (usually referred to as light reflecting) be careful of too much shimmer or u will look too shiny and sparkly on the face....try on the back of the hand first to see what effect it leaves behind....it should blend in but also enhance your skin tone
use a concealer (again matching skin tone or a shade lighter if u have dark circles) to spot over imperfections and translucent powder (again no color). and always check for mistakes in natural light or a well lighted place not in a dark crampy dim place....
