I have a problem. My face gets oily really fast. I scrub, and I cleanse. But it doesn't decrease the oiliness.
What to do?

PCG, try this.
after you eat your banana,
cut the banana peel into small pieces,
put the peels in a blender
add some milk, not too much. (enough to mix the banana peels)
press the button.
(you can add milk or banana peels. depending on how hard or soft it is.)
Let it sit for few minutes, and then wash your face with it, it has the same affects as those face washing things with apricot and other stuff in it, but this one actually takes care of oily skin.
ps: try at own risk

u should only cleanse face twice a day....not more than that.
drink lotsa water and fresh veggies and fruits.
use oil blotting tissues and oil aborbing products. body shop has a tea tree oil mattifying moisturizer thats really cool. actually lots of companies make mattifying makeup and moisturizers.

Dont use soap to wash ur face cuz soaps are not hp balanced and washing ur face many times with soap really kills ur skin and even gives u more problems such as pimples and acne. In order to keep it clean, u have to wash it many times...but remember no soap. Try cleansing foams from nuteragena or clean & clear. I use one from Faces by michell...its not that great but its ok. I have T zone cuz i only get oil near my nose, chin and forhead. If u have the same problem, try using oxy pads on these areas, they help a bit. If someone knows something better that helps, please share.

You need to use an actual toner after you wash your face. Use it everyday. A good one for oily skin is Tea Tree Oil toner.

Are the products you use specifically for oily skin though? You need to use something like a tea tree oil toner (just an example cause that is the toner that I use and it works for me) that will make your skin less oily.

I don't think its specifically for oily skin, but it gives an awesome glow to my face. But then a few hours later, the oil starts setting in. Corny I know, but I thought it might be all the pakoras I'm eating...

Yup, it could be. Watch what you eat ... drink lots and lots of water. I have an oily t-zone and the only thing I use for it is the toner and it helps control it.

My skin has been VERY oily and acne prone since I was about 13....tried every over the counter stuff but nothing worked. Finally, when I was 17, went to a dermatologist and he gave me this cream for the acne.
The other thing the derm gave me was this pill.....I totally forgot the name of it since this was quite a few years back....but it was a pill that I took once a day, and it reduced the amount of oil my skin produced. It really worked for me. I don't know what your budget is and whether or not you mind taking meds, but if you can and are willing to go to a derm, I'd highly recommend that.....if I remember the name of the pill, I'll let u know.
When I moved out, about 2 years back my family has some financial problems and I had to stop seeing the derm. My acne/oiliness came back.
About a year ago, after seeing ads about Ortho Tri Cyclen and how its supposed to help with skin issues, I decided to take it even though I don't need birth control(I'm not married)......and I can't tell u how happy I am that I started it. It's 1/4 the cost of the derm meds, but at least for me, it works. And now my skin is MUCH better.....and there's a dramatic drop in the oiliness.
One thing someone else mentioned, don't wash your face more than 2x a day. If you wash u'r face too much, your skin will get too dry and the extreme lack of moisture will make your skin produce extra oil. Use a clenser specifically made for oily skin and just use it twice a day. I'd also recommend using a clasy mask once a week.
