I'm thinking of ordering a sari as a gift off of sila.com...though im kinda hesitant to buy clothes off the internet. has anyone ordered from them before, and does anyone know about the quality of their clothes (is the silk really silk? is the karigari any good? etc)

Rule of thumb for any website... check our their return policy. If they are in the US they should let you return within a certain number of days for what ever reason (dont like the fit, color, fabric etc). Second rule, every one has their own taste and judgement standards, my sister always orders from gap.com i prefer victoriassecret.com both are established companies but there are times that if we dont like what we have bought, we return it. No issues

I haven't ordered from them but know the place they get their karigari done from and from my experience from the karighars in islamabad (if it is the same still) is that it is really good.

i've ordered from them before. The outfit was o.k. It looked like the picture but the size was too big for me. so check out their measurement form before ordering.

yes sizing can always be tricky some times i wear a size M sweater or blouse from VS the others i need to exchange for a S (makes me happy undoubtedly). I guess it depends on the fabric and how much it stretches and the cut of it. Janab-e-ali if its a sari you are getting sizing should be simple... pretty much standard 7 yards. Let us know how it goes *the online shopping experiece and may be even the gifting part hee hee *
