When I was little my hair used to be really straight. I cut it short for several years and now i am growing it back out. Now it is curling in different places. It is uneven. is there any way I can fix the problem, besides using one of those electric hair straighteners.?

Guys shouldn't worry about trying to straighten their hair. Why don't you get a choppy, textured haircut, from a good salon, not barber. Then use product to mess it up. The natural texture and curl of your hair will look awesome with that cut.

get a hot choppy hair cut that allows the curls to show, and still looks like you don't try hard on your hair, and then post a pic on GS
