How about Chicago/LA/NewYork/ San Fransisco? If you guys have contact.and how were your experience there??

amber actually in the past few years quite a few upscale boutiques have popped up in jackson heights...i dont really consider karishma an upscale boutique...their clothes border on tacky most of the time considering a price. Lately, a few shops have popped up that are actually not in plain view (i discovered them out of the blue) There are a few for example...next to a meat shop away from the main 74th street and it looks like a movie store but you have to go deep inside to see there's a whole shopping center inside. So those guys custom design clothes using catalogues as well as sell clothes in the store and their clothes are good quality. i saw some gorgeous animal printed georgette tunics with turquoise gem work and churidaar pajamas....very hip. i dont remember their name but next time i visit i can probably get their card and let u know their phone number/name etc.
also if you are planning on launching the maria b line in NY i would suggest you exhibit them first at a nice desi lounge to find out the public reaction. Payal Singhal holds exhibitions frequently at Maya lounge and alot of people attend just by word of mouth.

^^ Alina closed her boutique called Passions. I think it burned down or something. We did do a Fashion Show in November where I met her.. We will be the headquaters in Dallas still, but for the USA, we r considering providing for other major stores...Just not in Dallas...
