Does anyone know of any companies that make kaajal-like eyeliners (meant to be applied the traditional way by placing it parallel to the eye and closing the eye over it so it lines the inner rim) ? I know that Guerlain makes a powder kohl eyeliner that comes in a bottle like those for surma and I was wondering if anyone has used it? Is it worth it? I can find the hashmi surma for less than a dollar but I heard they are banned here due to the heavy lead content in them so I dont want to take the risk.

What about those hashmi kajol sticks, shaped like a bullet? Are they harmful too?
I got a soft eyeliner from Ulta by Studio gear. it comes out good on the inner rim cos its soft. My problem however is that my kajol always leaks so I have to keep cleaning around the eye and reapplying.

whats a hashmi kaajal bullet? i just know of those sticks that u dip in the powder and apply in the eyes...I read quite a few stories on this causing lead poisoning. but yeah it does have a tendency to run and sometimes the powder spills on the face too. i tried using a few pencil liners but they disappear in a few hours...kaajal lasts a very long time (even days )

hehehe. Its not called a bullet just is shaped like one. Its a solid kajal stick as opposed to a powdered substance.

Mine too
I also heard about the hashmi stuff having lead in it. Haven't touched it again, though it lines the darkest compared to any pencils/liners you buy from here. Sucks.
Back to ur question, no I haven't found any subsitutes for kajal It'd be good to know if someone has.
Save Pakistan.
