I lovee makeup, but my only problem is that I can't figure out how to come up with a different look for different occasions... I usually wear my makeup the same exact way whether im going to school, the club/ a party, for nighttime, and even when I was working
I know day makeup is supposed to be light, nighttime dark eyes + lighter lip, club/parties obviously funn, and work should be serious but I dont really know how to come up with so many different looks
Help pleaseee! Pics would be appreciated..
PS- I suck at the art of eye makeup

hey Sabriya, im in the same situation as you really, and i feel the same. lol
but what i tend to do is make little changes from day to day that change my "look". like when i wear liquid eye liner on top, wing it out at the ends. small stuff like this changes the whole look a bit. hope that helps

I'm kind of in the same boat too Sabriya. I actually only know one way to do my eye make - up and I've been doing the same thing forever.
My eyes are small, and my eye-lides are quite small as well...err not much surface to work with. All I do is use eye shadow...and make it go almost to the bony thingy above my eye-lid. And then I just use black eye-liner, and mascara (or false lashes for special occassions). I do the same thing for weddings (ie. using a bolder colour) or for work (using some neutral colour).
I seriously need help too. Where are the experts??

I took a makeup class at the MAC store last week. Cost me a hundred dollars but I think it paid off. The instructor applies makeup to one half of your face and asks you to replicate it on the other half, guiding you all along. Once you know the basic technique you can even ask the people up front to do a certain sort of eye makeup on you and tell you what they are doing. Just keep looking in the mirror at every step.
Oh and I got a free mascara too

Yeah I think i'm gonna work at MAC for a bit so I can learn the different techniques.. They do come in handy for wedding type occasions.

damn it, I am so terrible when it comes to make-up! i seriously need some 411. A make up class would be a way to go...anyways, i usually stick with kajal..easy to put on.. light during the day time...if iam going out the heavy around the eyes....and lipgloss!
if u can find the perfect blushon for urself that would help as well.

Not a bad idea to work at MAC if you don't know anything about makeup, but once you know the product & the use of it, then no problem just need practice and playing around with the colours, the more practice you get you become anexpert, best you can draw an eye on a sheet of paper and play around with the colours on the eye you can see the result.

But general rules do apply where ever one is going
Dark smoky eyes..= more blush ..+nude lip color/gloss..also known as model makeup
Lighter eyes..almost like using bone colored eyeshadow and thin eyeliner...easy on the blush...+ deep colored lipstick...I also prefer hair pulled back and heavy earrings..Gives a very sophisticated look. The outfit should be light too if u decide to go with this look.A Matte lipstick with just a dab of gloss in the pout of upper and lower lips..or a frosted dull gold eye shade works well too.(this is just a trick of the trade )
Another day time fresh look is using nuetral colors.Light eye liner, gloss and light liner...and a bit hightlighter powder under the brow bone, and inside corner of the eyes, and the upperside of cheekbone in a curve towards the temple.....adds dimension ...
Hope this helps...do let me know if anyone try any of these
Oyee...I almost forgot..Our Famous AUNTY LOOK ..
Heavy 3 shade lighter face foundation..only on the face..(cant waste it on the neck na
Blue and Bright green Eyeshadow
Bubble gum Pink Blush on...heavily applied to the apples of the cheek
Bright red glossy lipstick....with some on the front teeth(ahhh paisaa barha hai)....Love the looks:love:

^^wow. Kajal....Whenever I put it...I always end up with racoon eyes....And yes I have tried putting eyeshadow underneath the eyes to try to control it...still runs
With the all over eye liner...do u have like almond shaped eyes..one thing I know unless u have lkike large eyes...it makes the eyes look smaller...give it a try when u r not going anywhere...see how u feel...btw I did have a makeup artist give me that eyes...I looked like a Jangali..or I'd say an evil person with it ..Let me see if I can find the picture
