I've got dark-ish elbows because I'm always applying pressure to them by resting them on the desk or on my bed when I'm online. I was told to rub lemons on them? I tried it for a few days but stopped before I even noticed a difference.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for how to lighten them?

Do nothing except using raw petroleum gelly OR lemon+rosewater+glecerin mixture.
You need to be a little patient (1month atleast) .
use generously petrolium gelly or the other mixture daily b4 u sleep, massage them on your elbows well(each elbow for 5 min) and then cover your skin with cloth and sleep, whenever you take shower use some mild mosturizer on your elbows, never leave them un mostiturized and you will see the difference within one month time or so
AND TRY NOT TO put pressure on your elbows and rub them with hard surface

That's right.. u may also apply a paste made of milk powder and lemon juice and leave it on for 20 mins and scrub it off... keep them moisturized at all times. Vitamin E/cocoa butter will also help..
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

I used to have dark elbows and scrubbed away for years and years to no avail. Eventually I became so fed up I went to the doctors and he said I had a skin problem called psorasis. If the above remedies do not work, then do go and see a doctor or a dermatologist, to rule this out. It is easily treated with topical creams.

basically it can only be cured with good mosturizer & lemon.dont scrub offf with something that dries off your elbows or finger joints, instead go for good mostirurizing it works wonder.my sis had extremely blackened elbows but only 1 month use of petroleum gelly worked for her.try it
