hmm im not sure, well u dont always need alot of make up to look girly or indeed any make up at all. Glad 2 hear u take care of ure hair, may be getting the latest hair cut and a bit of colouring 4 ure haie myt help u a bit, it really makes a difference.
Apart 4rm that im not sure how u carry ureself but try be a bit more feminie with carrying ureself, like i dunno whn u get outta of teh car dont jump out , get out the care gracefully im not bein sarcastic, i dunno jus tryin 2 give examples cos i havent seen u or dont knw so i dnt really jnw wht aspects to give u advice on

Erm wht else, as far as ure dress sense goes try to be up to date with the fashion though staying with wht u feel comfortable wearing, try and wear bright colours rather than dull ones, like lots of pinks, purples etc.

As far as make up goes i dont knw if u wear any but mayb wear a hint of blusher, and kajal if u must, but try using a mascara instead of kajal it give u lovely long eyelashes which are of course very girls

Guppies any1 got anything to add 2 wht ive jus said????

ok first of all...find your own style. if you are not comfortable with the uber-girly girl style that is out there, its ok. you don't have to wear mini skirts and stilletos and have perfectly curled hair and have nail polish and you know all that stuff.

ok the eyebrow thingy...i would recommend. get some shape in em.

then, look at your wardrobe. get tshirts...but not T shaped ones, the nice girl ones. buy nice jeans...boot cut or slight flared ones. these days even the dress shirts are gorgeous. nice cuts to them, really nice kapra they are made of, and the sleeves.

get a lipgloss, an eyeliner. that should be sufficient. you said your hair's usually the latest cut and stuff, well now just flaunt it.

buy shoes you're comfortable with. don't have to be high heels. even some flats can be very girly in style.

SWEEETY! sweety!!!!!! JAAAAGO*nudges herrrrrrr and pulls her outta journals* OMG go look at teh PRINCE uffffffffff :faints: GOOOOOOOOOO

Ok, please dont take this too badly, but try and clean up the way you write whatever language you are communicating in. Ghetto english or Texting english.... does not a lady make!

Sometimes something as simple as speaking well and naturally makes a huge difference in how people percieve your outer self.

As for the physical self.. doing eyebrows and a dash of lipgloss and mascara makes a huge difference to the face.

Good luck with the transformation. Enjoy the process... I love being girly sometimes!

I suggest good grooming is the first most important thing in appearing more feminine. Get a facial or do deep skin cleansing. Use a good moisturizer, get your eyebrows threaded, remove other excess hair. Have hair nicely layered and styled. Clean neat nails and feet. Use exfoliation and lotion on your skin. Wear simple, well cut clothes that follow your natural curves. Nothing too tight or too baggy.

For makeup, don't overdo it. If you start with healthy, clear skin you don't need much. Just a little cheek color and lipgloss. I believe less is more. Femininity is not what you put on yourself. Just be comfortable with who you are and your confidence will shine through.

Alienated

i agree with khumar about finding ur OWN style :goooodluck:

and it wont happen over night, start small and as u go along ull learn urself, for example, how to apply make-up on better, day by day.

A couple of things to try...first, always wear lip gloss. You dont have to get fancy or anything, just a bit of shine on your lips. Highlight your cheekbones with blusher. Curl your eyelashes. You really dont need to do more than that for a day-to-day type of look.

And something I learned in my many years of ballet class. Pretend that theres a string attached to the top of your head and its pulling you up up up. This will make you sit straighter and walk with elegance. This does wonders - can make heavy gals look so much slimmer, make awkward gals look like butterflies!

I've had jobs that required comfy clothes too...but you can always "girly them up" a bit. If you wear jeans, try sewing lace or jewels down the seams. Flare legs are a wonder. Wear tops that are loose and comfy but also attractive.

Good luck, would SO love to see some before and after photos

Dreaming

I've been thinking a lot about this lately -- about what makes one beautiful and feminine. And I do think it has a lot to do with smooth, clean, and graceful long lines. So whether it's making sure your contours are slender and elegant, your skin is smooth and moisturized, your eye-lashes in pretty curls, your eyebrows smooth and defining the contours of your face, your hair smooth and straight, in soft waves, or delicate curls -- nice lines and curves that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye are marks of femininity. It's less about make up and jewelry, but about developing and accentuating these elegant and graceful aspects of yourself.
