Hi!

Im new to this forum, so be nice with me:P

I know many are negative towards fariness creams and so on. But i have a strange problem.

Ive had excema now over 15 years, and due to my skin condition my skin color has gotten dark. Its mostly on my hands, face and neck. This is starting to be a problem for me, specially when i notice the difference where i DONT have excema and i have fair skin, and on my face, neck and hands are lot darker than rest of my body. This is caused by the medications ive been using sinche my childhood to keep a balance in my skin condition.

Recently ive had a talk with a friend who recommended me to take some specified facials treatments which will lighten my skin color. But she also said i could try with fairness creams which ppl normally use...

So my question is, is there anybody there who could give some good advice abt my problem. I dont like the idea of using fairness creams to lighten ur skincolor, and ive always thoght one should be glad how God has made them. Lekin last year se mujhe meri problem bohat tang kar rahi hai. And i desperately need help or advice. Please?

Thx for ur time!

Have you ever tried Shahnaz Husain products? They work really well for such conditions. You can buy them online. A little expensive but they do work quite well. In fact they have a line called Pearl Whitening which is for this specific purpose. They are natural so they don't usually have side effects.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO do not buy shahnaz hussain's products!! i spent almost 200 buying her masks, cleansers, oils for hair and what not even after some people with sensitive skin had warned me that i would get pimples and zits. bad experience man, after two days, my face broke out soooo bad. first i was doubtful of the quality but they were authentic shahnaz hussain products. i still went on using them hoping it would work eventually but it just ruined my skin with small pimples all over. finally, i just put it all aside and still haven't used it again.

soniya, i have extremely sensitive skin too. if u have a specific problem, do tell me and i will try to help u as i have alottt of experience with using different things.
sadia, my mom is a doctor and if u want, i can ask her about your issue. she has always suggested people home made remedies as well and i'll see if she knows of something about this.

sadia if ur using the creams prescibed by doctors, try to cut down or stop they are harming ur skin they actually burn the top layer of skin off,
for creams for ur skin id advise aloe vera creams they will soothe ur skin an after time ul c ur colour will clear up as well I.A.
also for the excema id advise homeopathic remedies they really work!! xx

I have tried Shahnaz products several times. Luckily, I did not have any such reactions. Maybe because I bought them directly from Shahnaz salons. However, I have heard about the various sensitivities people have had so I guess it may be wiser to just consult a doctor.

I have heard that Stillman's bleach creme is a good product.Actually have seen the difference. Its been in the market for more then 50 years so I am assuming taht its good. My daughters have allergic eczema too, I mostly use a lot of creams like nivea etc after shower to keep the skin hydrated.

Using cosmetic products on an eczema prone skin is ridiculous.

The skin is darker than the rest due to constant scratching and much more sensitive than normal skin.

You havent told us whether your eczema is gone or not?

You need to use herbal products maybe consult a dermatologist who can rec something good. DO NOT end up using dangerous bleach creams, they may worson your skin actuallly. I know someone who used some bleach cream and her face is so much darker now after 1 yr,

use md formulations skin brightening kit and go for peels and microdermabrasion.

I hate advice unless I'm giving it.....

guys.....the lightening creams are not meant for prolonged use...they are meant for correcting ONLY....you shouldnt use HQ or any other ingredients for more than 3 months...the reason they are dangerous is because people ignore the warnings and the instructions.

OH MAN i am seriously upset ABOUT these Views
Listen sweet gal U NEED TO go to a DERMATOLOGIST (a proper doctor specialised in skin) where do u live if u r in uk then go to ur GP tell him u want to see a speicalist about ur condition he'll ask few questions himself to find out what's ur concern and then he'll refer u to a specialist if u r not in uk n u r really serous about this thing then find a geniue dermatologist dont go into some salon who have ppl done some diploma in health and beauty and think they know what are they doing
thats all i have to say GOOD LUCK

@ mili_

Im not in the UK, actually in Norway... I've been to the dermatologist and specialists, and the only thing they have given me is creams for the excema and nothing for the discoloration. They say they cant help me more than that... and i get so frustrated cuz this really bothers me. I get depressed by this, even though im good with keeping my skin-condition balanced daily, but i still have periods with burning and red skin, mostly when i stress alot. I try not to stress, but this makes me stress even more...

Anywayz, thx for the reply. Im still confused and still haven't found any got advice than things ive already done... I hope someone can recommend me some treatments if they know....anything would help, just to get a picture of whats available as solutions on my problem.

Sadia

If you still have the eczema than please dont use anything cosmetic as it will trigger and make it worse.

Have you found the source of your eczema yet??

Once you find the source and avoid it, you'll see yoru skin get back to its normal way.

If the creams that docs are giving arent working, try another doctor.

Get a doctor to prescribe steriods, that will make the condition go away and brighten up the skin but if you dont find the source of your allergy it'll come back

Adrasteia, i have atopical excema or what its called. I was supposed to grow it off me before the age of 12-14, but i still have it and the doctors say that i will have it all my life.

I've still not found the source yet, and now im worried that i wont ever find it. It seems like i react on everything in moderate ways. Sometimes i just get warm other times it starts to burn, and then again i can have 2 weeks without excema. Ive done everything thats in the doctors book, and now they have given up. So have i, im frustrated over it, and it makes me depressed. Ive been to Pakistan for treatments, done acupuncture(dont knw if ive spelled it rite...my english is not so good), done herbal...everything and nothing helps.

Blah

Having read the above posts, i'm still a little puzzled. My 14yr old niece has eczema so i know what you're going thru, so anyone here or anyone you know who's tried a tested product on the market for a long time and seen improved results? I can do with some advice to pass on.
