Do you guys ever feel really low or stressed or just 'beychain' for no reason. I mean things might not be so perfect but you do know that they will turn out to be okay, yet there's just some sadness that might hit you once in a while. It happens to me so much on Sunday nights. I feel like after Friday and Saturday night when everyone is up in my house late and there's so much excitement for the weekend, everything just fazes out on Sunday night with everyone in bed by 10 pm. Besides that, there are just some nights where I am just feeling low for no reason and I have sudden urges to pray alot. How do you guys deal with such situations? Tonight when I am feeling so low right now, I am on gupshup trying to cheer myself up lol.. and it's working

Oh girl I know how you feel!! For me, its usually engrossing myself in reading poetry online... inspirational poetry, no sappy romantic nonsense.. that makes me sadder for some reason ... or listening to good songs... and when all else fails... just being with family! Little children usually have the magic to turn your saddest thoughts into happy ones... for that I always always always go to my baby brother, and if he's not around I bother my little sisters.. thats always fun! hehe

it's the heart afraid of dying, that never learns to dance; It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance; It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give; And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live.

I wish I had lil kids around My brother dorms and my sis is always so busy with school work.. I keep asking my mom why we can't have another younger sibling and she's like WHAT? it's time for you to have your own kids.

Aww lol... I have more siblings than i need or want sometimes.. Ill be willing to lend you one of my sisters if you want! The 9 and 12 year old are so bossy and demanding sometimes... thank God I dont have to see them everyday, because when I was living with them before, it was daily torture hehe!

I do, but I live with my dad and the girls live with my mom.. divorce...

Anyways its always hard being away from family, but you try to make the most of it... maybe join a club in school or extra activities to keep you occupied...

Mellow

i can relate...
i usually try and pray or read Quran to ease the anxiety... deep-breathing also works if i get hit by a panic attack at work or when im out elsewhere - thank God mine have become less frequent.
it also helps to call up my best friend and have a good long chat with her. and of course, i talk things through with the hubs who is exceptionally good at calming me down in those situations - he's very logical and when we've sat down and looked at things from that perspective, its easy to figure out why im upset and what i can do to make things better.
