My hair has stopped falling out so much - a drastic improvement in fact, since I started to apply olive oil to my hair about twice a week....

I apply a mixture of olive oil & coconut oil( 50% each). It works wonders with severely damaged hair

I massage olive oil in my hair atleast once a week, honestly it helps with relaxation too, which effects your skin! and also I mix with almond oil-I heard from some Aunty it works wonders--I agree.

I think the massaging helps bring blood to your scalp which brings nutrients and helps your hair grow..plus the softening effect of oil helps prevent breakage etc.
I use olive, amla for softness/shine and also use another lemongrass/oil mix from India that is for dandruff...it rocks.

Everything is fine - its just oil it wont do any damage; all the types mentioned above work you just have to "use it" in order to find out yaar; you use the shampoos all the time and dont get scared while they are the ones which contain so many dangerous chemicals :S
