I've been using bare minerals for about 2 yrs. I love them, before I started using them I didn't think it would give me even tones skin. But, I was amazed at the results. I would never go back to using liquid foundation.

Not that brand, but I do use mineral make up and would never go back. I use Jane Iredale mineral make up.

I am using ittttttt.. I wore the mineral veil once and sorry sara, my face broke out in rashes.. i dont know if it was the mac foundation that caused it or the BA but then everytime i got it applied to my face at sephora, my face always got all itchy and stuff. but it's still tempting to buy so i gave in and bought the kit last night.. only this time, i used a moisturizer and a primer before trying it on and so far, it's good

I got it for my birthday! Its really lovely! I dont like the mineral veil but everything else is SO nice! And its the only makeup I've ever put on my face that actually makes my face FEEL nice on top of looking nice! Maybe I need to work on how I put it on but the mineral veil is just a little too much, it gave kind of a cakey look but with just the foundation and the sun-sparkker and the eye-brightener I must say I feel like i look and feel pretty dam good lol!

I'm using it and i love it. I have never ever found the perfect shade of foundation/powder for myself and hence have almost never worn any foundation/powder.
I bought the Bare Escentuals kit from ULTA for $60 back in december, and I really love the natural, makeup-less feel of it. It's so easy to use and takes less than 5 minutes to apply once u get the hang of it. The only thing is, it doesn't offer a whole lot of coverage, so i've used a concealer for occasional spots.
Save Pakistan.

^ Hm sehar, the BE store has their kit for $75 whereas sephora has it for $60....i think both come with the regular stuff, but the BE kit has a little bit more, like a blush or something...not sure.... i know the kits come wiht brushes, but regular brushes work well with this right?
I still have a huge bottle of liquid foundation sitting in my makeup box

I hear so many good things about bare minerals make up
but everytime I try to use it, my skin is left kinda dry in spots
regardless of having used a moisturizer.

i used Loreal bare natural mineral powder. I bought it for $13.. not too expensive. When i first used it , my face became dried and itchy. Then i started applying moisture before using it and it really gave me a glowing look. The think i liked about it is it almost covers face scars if u have those, give full coverage and easy to use rather than applying foundation.

I think it depends on what will suit you and your skin Sara. You can buy the most expensive products but even they may cause your skin to breakout and all. You should try the BA since it seems like you really want to. Sephora has a great return policy so even if you don't like it after a few days, you can always return it.

The L'Oreal stuff is no way near as good as the 'real' stuff. I can't vouch for Bare essentuals but I would imagine them to be on a par with the Jane Iredale stuff. Lily Lolo is also a very good brand.
I agree that it's expensive initially but it really does last for ages and it's so natural that surgeons even recommend it for patients who have had skin peels and grafts since the ingredients are all natural and it has natural SPF. And it won't damage your skin if you sleep in it which is a big bonus.
