I've been looking for a good bra for the longesttt time and still havent found one. I kept buying em from VS, and found that they got too loose too soon... maybe like 5-6 washes and they were done... and a couple times they got so soggy and weird-like that the straps ended up busting So then i just started buying em from macy's, and while I havent had any wardrobe malfunctions as of late, they're not too great either in that they get too loose too soon. I know im wearing the right size cuz I got measured at VS, so what's the problem? Why is this happening? And can anyone recommend any specific brands and/or styles that you ladies have tried and know are good. Thanks

I get mine from Kmart and really like them. It depends on what you are looking for. I like the non padded, non wired ones and i find K Mart carries this brand called Pinks or something that i really like.

They had another padded one that i jsut love. Hafta go home and find the name of it.

hand wash them ... u can get lazy with any other clothing item but undergarments are so fragile.. even if its the average cotton ones.. still .. hand wash them

i love triumph, wonderbra and debanhams bras. very comfortable, good quality.

but like i said.. machine washing bras is a no no.. no matter how good the quality.. it will give away after a few washes.

I only use Short Stories, they are expensive, just the bra is $50 and if you get it in the set its around $70 however they last for ages giving i only wash it in the bag.

For fancy stuff I just get stuff from the asian stores, use it like 5 times throw 'em away get new ones.

I bought triumphs in Karachi because according to my aunt there, they were 'awesome'! Two days later, they were in the trash because they are JUST SO BAD!

I love VS and would never switch to anything else. La Senza is another one that is so so so bad. When I went to Canada and shopped at LS, my cousin there was like, ummm stick to VS.. I knew exactly what she meant a day later because it was so uncomfortable to wear those ones. Anyway, have you tried looking on VS's website? They have a gazillion different styles and their 'very sexy' line is just awesome. I find padded ones much better because they are more comfy and it is annoying to see women sitting in a cold room and 'everything' being visible when it gets cold.. doesn't give out a very good impression.

Ya that triumph bras suck big time...they might be good for women who have no sense for bras but they are just crap! although it should be comfortable to wear them since when i bought them they didn't have padded ones nor did they have the wired ones...but they just gave me a cone look in the front and it looks yukh when the nipples stick out errr...i have seen so many women wear thin fabrics and you can see the points in front :S

Oh i have a few ones from Ralph Lauren they are good too.

i think women attract more attention by wearing those triumph cone shaped bras compared to wearing no bras at all. i went to tariq road and we saw men sitting down with a cart full of bras. this lady stopped by to ask how much they were and the guy was like, aap ka size bataaein, then he fished it out for her and she ended up buying so many! i was like omg. triumph on the other hand has a couple of small stores and they all come across as so shady. tinted windows, locked doors (the one i went to had the buzzer thing to let you in), etc etc. then they take you inside this small dark room to measure you.
sara, i got attracted to LS mainly because when i saw it, i was like ooh canadian VS! it looked so much like it.. unfortunately, the quality is crap.

Yeah same thing with me but i was still feeling embarrassed hehe ... a lot of my teachers in Pakistani used to wear such brad and there were times i could see their net bras underneath their shirts and they gave us lectures that we shouldn't get our school uniforms fitted since its not good we study with guys etc :S (as you know so many school uniforms are squarish sponge bob shape) like i also see girls wearing hijabs or covering their heads who stared at me as if they had x-ray eyes and could see underneath my clothes just because i was wearing a sleeveless shalwar kameez buying from those guys, of course nothing wrong otherwise but its just how some guys look at women in taunting manner or try to act a bit frank just because they are buying underwear from them etc.

Even VS has some crap, like i bought this bra which was pretty expensive but the pads were very hard and after three days even when i didn't get it washed the wire came out :S

^ at the teachers.. oh man.. when did you move here from pakistan? i hate the whole mentality there that you're 'out there' if you wear sleeveless or jeans or something.. like when i visited, i would put on an abaya before going out and since i did not have any shalwar kamizs stitched my size for the first week or so, i would wear jeans with a kurti.. so everyone thought i was all corrupted for wearing jeans under abaya..

^ Its been 3-4 years since i immigrated here. Yea a lot of people think that way...I didn't wear abaya but i did get a huge chadar like shawl which i wrapped around myself whenever i went outside to places like bazaars etc..i did see girls in jeans but then again personally i wasn't comfortable to look all westernized to places where people cannot digest the look.
My friends there actually wear pretty skimpy outfits and jeans when they go to certain places though.

^you're right- when i went shopping at gulf, i saw girls wearing jeans and all and that was fine because there were many of them dressed like that. however, at saddar or tariq road or hyederi, etc, it's this huge deal.
