hey everyone!
Does anyone have nice pictures or ideas for clothes of summer. :sheyn:

It would be nice if the ideas are decent, bright coloured combinations with some designing for sure. The focus on designing of shirt fronts, sleeves, shalwars?? Shalwar kamees that can be worn to office, worn to parties and any outings?

Na just asking because according to location one can advice better . I am in lahore too...Did you check out gul ahmed's latest collection? It's really nice if you like wearing prints. As for the cuts n styling of the shalwar kameez, well since most of us can't rely on the designers for daily wear we can only hope we are able find a good tailor :P lol but that rarely happens. But do check out the websites of gulahmed n other pakistani designers and you will get an idea of whats inn if thats what you are looking for.

I know for a fact that long shirts are back in fashion since 2-3 months but they have hit big time in india esp bollywood just this month and same here in lahore. And a very stylised version of anarkali dresses...i think those are really awesome. I will try and find you good pix or will give you a link for them.

Hi girls,

You may be be able to advise me since you both live in Lahore. I'm planning on coming to Lahore for a couple of weeks in May. If the tailors are not able to get my suits ready in time of my departure back to london, can I rely on them to post them out? Alternatively, would you be able to advise me where would be the best place to get suits embroided within a week and a half?

I am not sure if tailors do the posting part,i would say take them yourself. As for the embroidered clothes, to get them designed yourself go to liberty (there are many shops near the dupatta galli area) or anarkali. For ready made embroidered suits go to Fortress Stadium, Pace plaza or Liberty again.

Hey Tania!

I really doubt any tailor would be willing to post your suits to you even if you pay them. Most of the time they are too lazy to accept such a responsibility but maybe if you happen to know one for long he/she might be able to do that for you. As for getting suits embroided....well new season is here and every1 is flocking the market to get their clothes made lol and there will be so many oders for embroideries too. So i think a week and a half might be less but its not impossible. Do you have any family in lahore who knows any tailors or embriodery walas because that always helps when you have to get your work done in less time-lol.

Also, there are some good places to get your ready made embroidered dresses too. Or even shops like sequences, bareeze, khadee, etc have emboridered suits and you can get the stitched and save time. If you need more details than msg me.

I'm just curious..for women who work in Pakistan...what do you guys wear? in a professional environment. Cz like...here its pretty easy distinction between casual and professional and formal...but there? Are there "professional" shalwar kameezes?

LOL! Good question. I assume the difference is only that they dont go crazy and wild with their shalwar kameezes at work unless they are working at a fashion designer's place.

I thought as much. Thanks for the suggestions. Are the ready-made all in season latest fashions?

For work I wear single monochormatic tones such as sandy beiges paired with a printed dupatta or plain black etc..white..gray's etc. =) no flowy stuff either just simple straight-cuts.
