Dupata from Kundan---getting a shirt&shalwar made for it
My navy blue/mustard chiffon sari

^ this will be made into this
My tea pink and gold Chanel lace
off white silk tie-dye..without the dye...will get gold work on it..
another piece of silk lace with embroidery
My gota work dupata...i had a suit made..but didnt like the shirt...so will be getting another one made to match it
My pistachio green banarsi sari
Blue chiffon sari...
deep pink silk brocade with a shade of orange (although it looks more orange in the picture..it looks pinkish-orange in person)
Chiffon with an embossed velvet pattern
black&red chiffon with gorgeous bead work/tari work
A lovely combination of pink and plum..with beautiful bead work
and my favorite....mom's beautiful kamkhab gharara...

This is so nice Chanda. If you dont mind me asking: how much are you expecting it to cost to get it made (fabric plus stiching etc)

love the firozi sari chanda. And the Kundan you mentioned, is it the one in karachi or did you get it from India. A married student of mine suggested I go to Kundan ( they have a branch near Metropole Hotel and another at Zamzama) if I need good saris. So guess I'll be paying a visit there soon.
I love chiffon and we have a couple of relatively new shops selling gorgeous embroidered chiffons and georgetts here. They are a bit pricey though but the kaam is really worth it.

thanks dushwari!! i cant shop without mom though...
well...not sure how much altogether...but the fancy fabric (laces etc)runs from $150-$300 and do go up to $500 per yard...depending on the heaviness of the kaam..
saris are anywhere from $200-$800..
zari fabric is around $80-$150 per yard
