do they work???
and which type is most affective??
there r three types
1- gloss plumpers which increase the blood flow in lip area and make blood vessels to swell a lil so the lips look fuller
but their effect is temporary
2- cream plumpers
u have to use them for sum weaks b4 u see any results but the results r permanent
3- water attracting
they attract water molecules towards the lips so they look fuller and plumper
so any1 using any type of pulmper
do they work??
and wat brands r good
share ur experience

:dont play stupid with me.........im better at it!!: :snooty:

I want to try one...even though people say i have plump lips, i feel i need to do something about my upper lip which is a bit thin.

They don't work! I have a LIPFUSION plumper which I paid $50.00 for and it doesn't do anything.
In my opinion, regardless of how much you pay for a lip plumper they just don't work! They are a complete and utter waste of money.

collagen injections! LOL.
i dunno, i haven't tried any. but there were tips being thrown around a few years back that the light reflecting pens (ysl touche eclat, dior skinflash etc) can be used to highlight around the upper lip area making it appear fuller. i tried it, it does work, not dramatically but there is a slightly fuller look to the upper lip.

My sister uses one and thinks it works although when I tried it, I don't think I saw a difference on myself. It was some store brand gloss/lip plumper if I remember correctly.

I've tried the Dr. Wexler lip plumper from bath and body works. It works pretty well for me.

i want a lip plumper too! i've tried lipsticks and lipglosses which are supposedly lip plumpers but they just make it feel like there's chilly powder on your lips so you pout on your own, the way you would after eating spicy food. sounds ridiculous but that's what they do!

^ Lol.
I have Lipfusion... and it doesn't really do much for me. BUT, apparently I've been using it all wrong. Lol... that ought'a explain why it hasn't really worked for me.
Anyway, with Lipfusion you're actually supposed to use it every night before going to bed... for an extended period of time. From what I have been told (by a make-up artist) you won't notice a difference for atleast a couple of weeks.
I don't know... I am pretty skeptical, but hey I have spent quite a bit of money of this darn thing so I might as well give it a shot.

obviously any topical lip plumper will not really increase the size of your lips...the only thing it can do is temporarily increase blood flow so they look engorged and redder. that's why most of them contain mild irritants like peppermint or cinnamon.
also, all the lip plumpers are really glossy...so there is a visual trick in play when 'enlarging' the lips. i would avoid very dark colors (maroon, brown) if you are trying to make your lips look bigger. if you don't want overly goopy lips, just put a dot of gloss in the center of your lips and blend.
