According to my friend who's designing my clothes for my cousin's wedding I think half way between your knees and ankles. I know it's insane but that's in fashion apparently

im in karachi...i see lots of long shirts with capris. shirt styles are sherwani collars, front open. some wear the shirts up to just three inches above where the capris end. people do this to lawn outfits but i think it works better with a more stiff cloth? i dunno...i had a few lawn capris made too lets see how that works out.
long and lean sherwani collared shirts with slight bell sleeves, front open (with piping or embellishment) and really long flared pants are also in as promoted by kamiar rokni and maheen from karma but i havent really seen anyone wear it yet.
also seen some super short shirts with gher waali shalwaars (LOVE!). only seen a couple of people wear pishwaaz and they really didnt do it justice.
shoes in karachi....embellished flat chappals as always.

LOTS of front-open shirts and high collars, sherwani-collars, key-hole gala's with long kameez'es and capri's (usually cream or white) the cuts are straight and defined and colors are oranges, turquoise, fushia, limegreen..
Laces etc are out it's only clean/plain kameezes with square "daaman's"
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

It's too hot to wear double-shirts! They're either made out of linen or double-chiffons. They fall a lil below u're knee and are completely front-open to the slit is from top to bottom!
For lawn the cuts are basic and simple kameez'es are short and are being worn with white chicken shalwars. Or even white shalwars with cut-work on the bottom, capri's etc.

they looked nice on some girls. its how u carry it off i guess. since lawn is lighter something stiffer like chikan from bareeze might work real nice. or a good quality gul ahmed lawn. i havent seen any big ol aunties wear them. why u asking?!!! u not one! get one i think it would look fab.
horizon472 go to indusmart.com and check out the special occasions clothing section. they have a few sherwani collars, front open and capri style outfits. the kaam done on the neck for formals (u can substitute embroidery for a more casual outfit) is everywhere too.
